If you have grenadine, do a SoCo Sunrise or Captains sunrise: Iced glass, liquor, OJ, dash of grenadine, stir lightly but don't let it all mix.
Mix a bit of it all together for a bizarre Mai Tai-ish thang.
Spin everything in a blender with ice. Serve with a paper umbrella.

You need some vodka, cream, and kahlua.
Glass with ice, captain - enjoy even better, glass with ice, maker's mark for what you've got, 50/50 oj and sierra mist - add a good squirt of lemon and a good dose of captain

For roughly the same price, replace those with:
-A Bottle of McCleland's Speyside (from BevMo) or Lismore (from TJ's)
-A Bottle of Boodle's (from BevMo)
-A Bottle of Cazadores Reposado (1L bottles are a great value)
If you don't normally drink liquor, don't drink liquor. If you're entertaining for Christmas, offer wine, beer, non-alcohol drinks because some that don't normally drink liquor will if it's available. Save the SC, Rum etc. for interesting cakes and cookies.
Note: This guidance is given after hearing my son't story about his g/f puking all over his GTi after a Christmas party, she doesn't drink that much.
