Ended up getting my early activation code today, so I decided to start a chronicle of sorts. Anyone else using it yet? What do you think?

It's an interesting concept. A mix of professional content and user-submitted content that percolates to the top based on rankings. At least, I think I've got it figured out. Our ND V8 got the pro treatment recently, expect it to be a fairly early appearance on the site.
I personally don't have any plans to start posting there, mostly because I'm suffering from exhaustion on how many platforms there are
I've only just heard of it. I really don't feel like starting over with yet another social media type outlet, unless this one's really cool? I'll let the youngin's tell me if it's worth it.
I had an activation code buried in my email for about a week. I'm drafting a feature for it today between appointments. GBody, I'll send you a tribe invite over on book of faces.
It's only login option is Faceberkeley.
It's tagline on the page is:
Drifters
Racers
Easy Riders
Adventurers
Your world awaits_
Yawn. I think I'll just go outside.
If I understand correctly, the content is organized into tribes - or channels. If you're in to drifting, you go for one of the drift tribes. If you're a fabricator, you join/subscribe one of those. They're trying to hit the entire range of automotive enthusiasm.
It's sort of a blog platform that rewards good blogs by pushing them to the top - and they're signing up a number of big names to be the headliner blogs as well as producing their own.
In reply to Keith Tanner:
exactly, so if someone isn't interested in rally related antics of cars from the early 90s, mainly BG chassis and volvo 240s and the development of them to sustain such abuse. They wouldn't be one of the 6 people that would possibly be intrigued by my tribe.
I don't get what it is.

I think I'm done here.
In reply to G_Body_Man:
publishing my first piece was easy. I'm curious to try the video portion out once I'm home. Whether you can livestream through it or if it's upload based.
The promotion mechanism does sound like what I know of Reddit, but is Reddit a content management platform or just a discussion platform?

Can you link your content directly or do I need to log in to read it? If the latter - I expect it's a dead end before it even gets started.

I guess its some of both, more content management, but there is 99% of the time A LOt of useful info in the comments section of each post.
I like reddit because I can create my own stream basically, has cars, DIY, welding, rally, wood working etc.

No link in the capt's post for me

So where's the content? All I see is a list of links with people talking about it. I've never been in to Reddit.

Try the one in the original post, then.

In reply to Keith Tanner:
Ah yes, links, pics etc. Your V8 ND was on there last week, trending nicely
For example, there is a Miata subreddit. r/ miata

I see 1 picture with 2 random comments (?) about rallycrossing a Mercedes. I'm not sure I get it. What is the original content? The picture?

OK, so... the answer is No.
I can only get to a tribe header page with titles and comments but attempting to click thru to read any content takes me to the login page where I'm only offered a "Login with Faceberkeley" button.
You'll need to log in to post.
