It was rather surreal... almost entirely soundless, except for a rapidly-quickening whir as you accelerate. The thing I like best was the instant power, from a standstill, accelerating uphill, or pulling out to pass. It was kind of impossible to imagine lusting after a $175,000 (Canadian, loaded sports model) car though.
Have you driven an Elise for comparison?

Yep, a good friend of mine has one. I drove it before he got it supercharged.
The Tesla had more sound-deadening, more goodies and really nicely bolstered seats. Quicker acceleration too - 0-60 in 3.7 in the model I drove, 3.9 in the regular model.
$175K for a two seater sports car with limited range??? 'Spensive to be green, ain't it? I think I'll just buy a red Elise when they sneak down close to my price range of maybe $20K US.

Well, this one was loaded to the gills. The base model is a paltry $125,000 (cdn).

Is your life pretty much like Top Gear?

It has to be better; she has the GRM crowd as her fan base.

Oh yeah, just like Jeremy Clarkson, I get in my 20 year old beater afterwards, check the ashtray for change for a Tim Horton's fix, and curse the broken air as I sit in stop & go traffic for the two hour drive home.
Those dudes would never fit in here
Couldn't I get basically the same experience for less money by driving a Viper whilst wearing earmuffs?

Naaa, I can't see the Tesla trying to kill you.
