Dumb things people ask about on car forums.

Since we all see it elsewhere on the interwebs, we should share the dumbest of the day. My gem hails from the Forte Fourms asking about fuel consumption. This is the first, and the poster's only, post.

Hi I have a brand new 2013 forte koup sx. I have put gas in it like no other car I put around 40 bucks twice a week. I feel like I am spending a lot of gas. Is this normal for this car or is there something wrong with this car.

No idea about MPG, no mention of how many miles driven in a week. No mention of how much gas is actually being put in.... Just... dumb.

Wow. Gotta love 944 guys trying to justify why installing Brembo's are so important. That guy though, is just effing stupid. Everyone knows that the tires stop the car.

I made the mistake of recommending that only dino oil be used on rotary engines on the RX-8 forum.

This guy came back with results from his super scientific experiment where he poured synthetic oil on his exhaust system and noted no residue as proof that I didn’t know what I was talking about. He then went on to say I must be over 40 and I should get out of the way and let more capable young people provide advice.

The thing I've noticed is the number of people who do zero research before asking questions. It may be the most basic thing ever, that they could either find in their owner's manual or with a 5 second google search, but apparently it's easier to have someone else tell them how to do it.

Well, I was going to link you to the hellaflushed '91 sho thread, but then I remembered we deleted and banned his worthless ass.

I just flash back to the billion "which exhaust should I get" threads in the heyday of the Honda craze between '98 and 2002.
