So who actually voted today? For me there where 2 state constituion changes on the ballet and several town and county seats, all unopposed Reps.
It has been the most low-key election season is a LONG time. A nice change from last fall.

Everything up for grabs in my district was school board related so I opted out of this one. I don't have any kids I'm aware of so I leave that to the parents to decide. All of the town council stuff doesn't apply to us because we are unincorporated.
Yep, no polls were even open today around here. Only way to tell it was election day for us was the banks and bars were closed. No referendums, and all offices in the area are held on even numbered years.
One of the Sate wide isuues voted on: To allow inmates work part time in volunteer organizations? Nonviolent crimes only, work in food pantries, that kind of stuff.
Passed.
Texas just voted money to create up to 7 more top tier Universities.

Locally, we had a few sheriffs, school board members, county council seats, some judges, and some commonwealth court members. Since the judges and court members affect my rights as a divorced father, I tried to vote for the ones that supported Father's rights and reforms of a terribly out-of-date custody/support system. Not one candidate had anything to say about the issue at all! How am I supposed to vote for someone that won't even discuss the issues that are important to me? I voted "No" to all of them.
