Point taken, though I'm obviously not "better" than a comment like that. I could've worded it a little better. It was reactionary; just the immediate thought that entered my head when the alarm clock told me "Obama wins" this morning.

The point is that IF I had a bunch of employees, and was forced to lay people off due to increased income, corporate, AND payroll taxes, (on top of our current economic situation,) the people who voted for all of these would be the first to go. Didn't realize that was illegal. My bad.

I'm tired, and have spent entirely too much time on the int3rwebz today. I'd better go make some money. Those "Earned Income Credit" checks for the lazy and fiscally retarded aren't going to pay for themselves!

Maybe I'm hoping against hope, but a lot of Democrat Congressionals have to realize their gains are not because of an out-and-out endorsement of their platform.

People voted against Republicans, almost regardless of the opposition. That's how badly the R's have managed their "brand" over the last eight years.

Obama gave a great acceptance speech, but it's worth noting that he was already back-tracking against his campaign rhetoric. He knows he can only find success by governing from the middle and needs much more support and acceptance from independents than from his hard-core base.

Obama might make a positive difference, but he has to be strong enough to influence the likes of Pelosi and Reid and keep them from railroading legislation the country simply cannot afford, now or ever. If he cannot, how can he hope to stand-up to the likes of Putin, Kim Jong Il (or his clone), Ahmedinijhad (sp?), Chavez and a host of others?

How does that old curse go - "May your children live in interesting times."?

Hey, I remember that! They did build something. If you go out to the old Ti-Co airport (I think it's called Space Coast Regional now) and drive in right off of US1 hang a right at the first intersection passed the railroad tracks, there's a fence to your left covering a concrete pad with the "rail" on it. Across the street is the building that used to be the main office for the project. It was overgrown and abandoned 5 years ago when I left Florida. The R/C airplane runway right next to it was well kept up though!

You know, a while back, the above poster made a crack about folks like me in reference to the type of car I bought and how he would just just like to beat me up or some such without bothering to meet me first to find out if I really annoy him or anything.

If this kind of garbage is how you (poopshovel) and the rest of you view Obama and the people (like me) who voted for him, then I am embarrassed to say that I actually read the same magazine as you all do.

Personally, if it were my magazine (and therefore my website) I would be personally insulted that anyone was posting this sort of vile hateful crap on it and then hiding behind some sort of moronic argument that somehow they are just "having fun" or "being sarcastic" or worse "expressing their first amendment rights."

You see, there are lines that can be crossed with satire. There are, believe it or not, limits beyond which one leaves the realm of satire and enters the realm of invective.

Well, I am way past offended. I am sick of it. But before I exercise my right to stop reading offensive material I am going to exercise my right to point out that the person writing is wrong. It is not funny. It IS rascist.

I encourage everyone who is offended to send the Suddards a message and cancel their subscriptions. If they tolerate rascism on their boards, if they tolerate their posters threatening their subscribers, then what else will be tolerated and where else will it be tolerated?

Uh actually JohnSSC I don't really read anything "racist" about what he is saying. I can introduce you to folks of just about any ethnicity that would fit the descriptions that he presented.

Now then this is not to say I agree with what he said, it did give me a laugh though. Most of the people around here have a fairly thick skin especially when it comes to this politics BS.

Also most of the folks I know that voted for Obama aren't black, they were white, as I'm sure a good portion of those 20 people in post would have been as well. Or are you trying to say that if you vote for the "black" guy then you get an automatic "black" status and anything said to you about your vote is racist?

Personally I think all of this race stuff is a bunch of crap, especially those that love to toss out the race card every chance they can when its not even being brought up. Haven't we learned anything from South Park? I swear that show more than anywhere else points out how ridiculous all this "race" garbage is. Everyone is always trying to point out how "special" they are because they are this or that or the other thing and demand to have "equal rights", which in the end means they want "special" rights.

Now then am I writing all of this to defend Poopy and his actions? No. Am I writing this to change you mind? No. So why am I writing this? However you wanted to address my post is fine but I did send an email with my concern as well and included my name, etc.

There is a difference between what I would characterize as disagreeable words and words/pictures that are racist in nature and in my opinion I felt that line had been crossed.
