This sounds a lot like an episode of Downton Abbey. In the show, he took the money and it all seemed to have worked out for the best. When he was determined to give the money away almost everyone was a bit mad at him.

I skimmed page 1, skipped page 2 all together, so I'm sure I'm not the first one to say it, but you could just pass it along to me and I'll find something to do with it.

All money is tainted in someway.. This cash just happens to come from a personal source. Do not let it sour you.. it was your money all the time, now it is up to you to do something with it to make a difference.

Also look at it this way: you had gotten it back then, what would you have done with it? Perhaps getting when you are older is the best thing that could have happened... the timing seems to point that way

If I had gotten my hands on the kind of cake that shifted around during my father's affairs being settled, I would have lived liked Ricky from silver spoons, ride on train and all. That E36 M3 was baller!

exactly.. and you would be where you are now.. broke and needing money. Take it, the money is yours and you need it.
