I won't say I hate DMB, but I greatly dislike most of it. I don't mind Nickelback, and don't quite understand the hate - they're generic sounding, nothing special, basically just an elevator music of grunge/alt metal.
It is a little weird. They're rather mediocre and generic, but there's a lot of equally mediocre, generic bands out there. I'm not sure why Nickelback gets singled out.
Probably because they are one of the more successful generic bands. At least the band members are cool enough to be okay with it and in on the jokes.

And Chad Kroeger is a dick.
My favorite joke was when Mr. Kroeger married Ms. Lavigne and that was ok because in Canada they allow same-sucks marriage.

The aversion to voice-controlled coffeemakers isn't about tracking -- I just don't want to have to wait for a 30 minute software update before I can make coffee. :)
That is why I hate Win10 on anything I depend on to be a tool.
you worked yesterday, it is BS that I have to wait a half hour for an update/reboot cycle so I can scope something for five minutes. I have WORK to do, it is unacceptable for a tool to deliberately make that take longer.
Want to be able to turn that OFF.

I hate that movie. I fast forwarded to the end, in the hope that at least John Goodman's character would die a painful death.
I enjoy Disneyland as long as its raining, because Californians are Bob Costas who don't go outside in normal weather.
Nickelback doesn't offend me any worse than all the rest of the bands that sound the same that I can't tell apart, and I have no idea who Dave Matthews is.
Facebook is good for keeping up with what old friends are up to, and laughing at stupid people I follow for their absurd ideas.
There. I think we're caught up.

This, there's some stories there.
As for their music.....it's pretty bad and if you believe some of the stuff, not written by them.
Is Streetwiseguy a Nazi, Appleseed?
No, hes a nihilist. Completely harmless.
Nihilists.
Isn't there a Facebook page for that?
Walt Disney was a berkeleying douchebag.
But, I have to say, his parks are exceptionally well run. I hate amusement parks, and despite my general dislike for WD, I can appreciate just how well done the parks are. Still, I'd never pay to go. The only times I've been I was either as a little kid or on somebody else's dime.
I used to call music like Nickleback fillerock, because it just took up space in between the quality ingredients. My son referred to the same bands as theoryofanicklecreed.
Facebook is just a tool like a cell phone is. I use it for my own convenience and nobody else.

Yes, possibly a pattern...
Well, apparently Zomby Woof was a berkeleying douchebag too, and I'm not sure he's ever done anything right
So I have no idea what the berkeley you guys are talking about

Ignore them. They are a bunch of Nihilists.

He was also a visionary. The man had great ideas and dreams. Most people like that are hard to work for.
Yes, I always considered Zomby Woof to be a visionary too, despite his inability to get anything right

You can't let not getting things right get in your way.

WhatsApp may well be great. My annoyance is extremely superficial. I think the name is stupid and it seems full of counterfeit certification peddlers.
I've been here long enough to know that you superficially hate many things. No need to explain lol
It stops me from blowing a gasket over all the real E36 M3 that goes on in the world.
A superficial reason to hate something is every bit as valid of a reason. As someone who has nursed a grudged against DMB for longer than some of the board members here have been alive, I can also agree with Duke that it can be deeply satisfying.
Dave Matthew's Band?
The very same. Motherberkeleyers gave me a raw deal. I was a fan of theirs, liked their music, and wore the band shirt. When they went on tour back in '97, some of my buds and I bought tickets to see them at Darien Lake. Turns out, they berkeleying oversold the show, and we got caught in a hot mess of a traffic jam for hours on the NYS Thruway. When we finally got in, they were most of the way through the encore, so we missed basically the whole berkeleying show. There was a class action lawsuit regarding it, and I got back something like 4 or 5 dollars. The tickets were way more than that, even back then, which was some cash for a poor college student to scrape together.
Motherberkeleyers have been dead to me ever since.
LOL. Roger that. Ironically I saw DMB live for the first time just last Sunday in a field in Franklin TN. The show was quite good (2 hours, played something like 21 songs) and he mixed in some non DMB tunes. And I learned Dave is a weird dude.
..Also got introduced to a band called Cage the Elephant at the same music festival. They put on a great show.

Looking at your FB page, that didn't take long to return to normal.
He was one of the people I pictured yelling at his dog because Facebook wouldn't let him rant to the outside world.
I missed a day yesterday but to catch up with everyone else, berkeley Dave Matthews and his band. He has two catchy radio hits but the concert flat out sucked. The only thing worse than a jam band is an bad jam band. No one needs to sit through a 20 minute rendition of Ants go marching. I have no problem with Nickelback and will sing along with rockstar every time it comes on.
Everyone hates Facebook but there are some amazing people and groups on it because there's no place else so large. I wouldn't be functioning nearly as well as I am without the help of a bunch of people I've met on it the last year. Like most things it's as good or bad as you want it to be. I also love Disney but much of that is because it was empty when we went for our honeymoon and we spent a week seeing what we could get away with. Happiest place on earth for sure.
