Yes, I grew up in Quebec and the colour is spectacular because there are so many maples. Same thing in New England. I would have gone back home for acolour tour the last few years but peak colour usually coincides with the weekend of The Challenge.

Looks like yesterday was peak fall color. Overnight a lot of trees dropped their leaves. This year the color just wasn’t as vibrant as usual.
A few I snapped yesterday out on a little walk with the boys

Those are really good pictures, nice composition and very clear and sharp. Well done.
Mine tend to be taken from a moving vehicle through a dirty windshield.
In reply to frenchyd :
You might want to rethink writing the above publicly. Maybe even consider taking down the pics

What are you using to take those pictures?
Google Pixel 2
It takes amazing photos

Hmmm? What rule do you imagine I broke?
Before you answer, you should know that both hands were wrapped around the steering wheel and at the 10 & 2 position. Both eyes were on the road. And I was sitting properly erect.
Oh, and the last few were on a private road with zero traffic and a speed of about 5 mph

And, there you have it... You are defending your position and your actions. I certainly wish on you no harm or harm to your passengers but in that unfortunate event, these pictures and those words could once again have you defending your position.
However, if you took down the pics and/or at least the words you will not have to defend your position. At the very least, protect yourself by taking down the the pics taken from the obvious CDL required vehicle.
Myself, a previous Class A driver and still driving commercially. I am not trying to challenge you or confront you. Instead, my intention is to protect you.
In reply to John Welsh :
Sorry no passengers. But the pictures were taken without removing hands from the wheel or looking away from driving
just click away and when you next stop and pull off the road you go through and delete most of what came into the camera.
It’s less distracting then you reaching for the microphone When base calls. Or in my case when the kids act up.

I see John’s point. As one who works in public transportation, seeing those pics isn’t a good thing.

OK so I guess it’s time to confess my shortcomings.
I take my hand off the steering wheel to wave at drivers who have to stop to let my kids cross the road. A friendly wave as I drive by.
But I don’t take my hands off the wheel to take pictures.
I use my phone as a GPS when Im given a charter I don’t know where it is.
But I don’t look at my phone to take pictures
I wave at joggers And bicyclists, people walking dogs so they know I see them and then give them as wide a berth as I can. If traffic or a low branch keeps me on their side of the road I’ll stop and won’t proceed until it’s not only safe but comfortable for them.
But I won’t take pictures with kids on the bus
I’ll blow my nose or cough into a Kleenex if need be but I won’t remove my hands to take pictures.
Ill grab a drink of water or caffeinated beverage while driving, even use the microphone if base calls me or the kids are acting up.
I’ll look up to check the mirror to make sure they are safe but I won’t take my eyes off the road to take pictures.
I smile and wave at drivers and my eyes are constantly scanning what’s going on around me and in the bus and instruments but I won’t look at the camera when I take pictures. You don’t need to do you?
You'll need to log in to post.
