I'm looking for any type of free family tree web sites. I dont need them to dig it all up for me, I just want some easy D-I-Y type forms.
Any help would be greatly apreciated

www.familysearch.org is one of the largest, most complete genealogy databases in the world. It's totally free, but I think you have to register. It's run by the LDS church, but you don't have to be a member of that church to access the information. They have downloadable programs too to help you organize it on your own computer.
Thank you, I have the tree charts from the ellis island site. Thankfully about half of my mothers side is documented back to the mid 1600's when they came over from Holland.
Current info on my fathers side is spotty. We have ties to the Mayflower, and one of my great Grand parents was 1/2 mohican/ 1/2 french canadian.

HEY! I have ties to the mayflower as well. Learning about your own family history has always been really interesting to me.
FYI, there are apparently quite a few genealogy sites out there that aren't free. My sister-in-law is really into it & has dug herself into debt before with some of them. She's not exactly the brightest sometimes tho...
old dead guy I hear tell I am related to this guy

I know about the paysites. I will do the dirty work my self for the cost of a few sheets of paper and black printer ink . Thankfully I have a nice epson with 4 seperate ink cartriges
One caution: When online-posting family trees and details of current family members, some folks get sensitive. Privacy, divorce, custodial, legal issues, etc.

Pfffft. Your old dead guy relative ran for President, and lost.
My OLD DEAD GUY possible relative was elected! His administration didn't go so well, though.
You'll need to log in to post.
