LOS ANGELES – Farrah Fawcett, whose luxurious tresses and blinding smile helped redefine sex appeal in the 1970s as one of TV's "Charlie's Angels," died Thursday after battling cancer. She was 62.
The pop icon, who in the 1980s set aside the fantasy girl image to tackle serious roles, died Thursday shortly before 9:30 a.m. PDT in a Santa Monica hospital, spokesman Paul Bloch said.

Condolences to her family.
I still have my original T shirt with the picture of her in the bathing suit and the erect nips.
The iconic poster:
Rest in peace, Farrah.
Saw her once in person...she was walking through O'Hare Airport and a bunch of us just got out of Navy boot camp and she made it a point to wave and say "Hey, guys..."
Sigh...
Another teenage icon gone. My condolences as well.

best nips in all of hollywood
I read an obit yesterday in which the photo shoot was described. The writer was told that "no ice was used" during the shoot. I have my doubts...

Her Playboy photo shoot from about 10 years ago was memorable for two things. One, she still looked really good at that age, and two, those things were like 3/4 of an inch long!
I remember when I was going to get my Farrah T shirt. My MOTHER was taking me to the store to buy it, she looked away from the road for a second and rear ended the car it fromt of us. I went thru the windshield and wound up on the hood of my fathers Chevy pickup. Only thing I had was a goose egg on me noggin and a scratch on my arm.
Dad was out of the country at the time and was not amused when he returned. Mom had him take me for the T shirt, I think she thought it was bad carma for her to take me.
Heard a good one today. Farrah Fawcett passes away after a long battle with cancer, gets to the pearly gates and St. Peter greets her. "Hello Farrah, you had a great run. We'd like to grant you one wish."
She replies, "I'd just like all the children to be safe."

Elvis was eating and Michael was just kind of lurking around the Play Place.
