I was wondering what your favorite driving song is.

Mine are East Bound and Down by Jerry Reed, Hot Rod Lincoln, Salt Shaker by Ying Yang Twins, The Dropkicks Murphy version of the Rocky Road to Dublin, Smack my B*tch up by The Prodigy, Blitzkrieg Bop by Ramones, Truth and Lies by Split Lip Rayfield.

That really would depend on the mood I'm in.

I leave my house at 4:45am to head for the gym. At that time in the morning, I'm in no mood for headbanging. I listen to news radio.

If I'm in the mood for rock, I'll go:

Appetite for Destruction - any song

Aerosmith

Good 80's stuff - hey, that's when I grew up...

If I've got the kids in the car, it's what they want. Taio Cruz or whatever his name is. And other "dance" music like that...ugh... Or, my oldest son is big into the WWE, so he likes a lot of the entrance and theme music, which is heavy metal. So that's at least tolerable.

Du Hast by Ramstein, but out course it goes by moods. The Urge has some great ones along with The Game to throw some rap in the mix. Ben Folds has since good ones.... should I keep going?...

Almost exactly my list, with some doors (Riders on the storm, the end) and some Floyd (Anything form Division bell/Darkside of the moon) thrown into the mix. Oh and not to forget some good old AC/DC...

Du Hast - like that one. Also seem to listen to a lot of Rob Zombie and System of a Down. Basically, anything fast and heavy played LOUD.

I've done 8+ hour trips before through the mountains with my thoughts and the sounds a motor makes. Good times.

I used to listen to strictly 80's rock/metal when I was 16-19. Then I started listening to some newer metal. And finally, I listen to electronic beatz while cruising now.

To whoever mentioned AC/DC and Aerosmith as driving music, I dislike you.

To the person who said Judas Priest, hell ya!

The biggest iPod in the world can't hold enough driving music (at decent quality anyway) for my music tastes.

I want to add that the entire Initial D sound track has good music. Two other animes with great music that I dig while I'm driving are FLCL and Cowboy Bebop. Heck, I was listening to Cowboy Bebop's OST before Adult Swim picked it up.
