Well we have all been there. A thread got a little too...complicated and Marjorie took her hammer that she was using to build her new deck and beat it down.
So GRM what say you? What is your favorite threads that has crossed over into the land of no-no?
No-No Threads..
All of that.. they are no-no's..
Nitros Fogger Jr.
IIRC, not locked or banned, but vaporized.
I liked the GGA thread, but SOMEBODY carried a little too far.

Really? I hadn't noticed that one. Is it verboten to mention said knucklehead? (I've done so a few times.)
Call me crazy, but this seems a little like poking the bear.
NO NO!!!!
We are not advocating for them to be brought back or saying that the admins were wrong to shut them down. Just saying which threads we enjoyed the most that got shut down for whatever reason.

Exactly. I'm not touching this one with a 10' pole

I think someone pointed out to Duke of Understeer that he was way to early in his career as a team engineer to start writing tell all exposés about his employers, regardless of how much they deserve it, so he came to his senses and had the power that be at GRM disappear the thread. He seems to have also disappeared not long after that.
I'm pretty sure that someone here has a cached version of that thread, and Nitrous Fogger Jr is still fair game, if only to the chosen few who were there and remember.
Hennessy honda.
It got completely out of hand.
Fogger was fun.
Amy was too much for me.
Clearly, GGA was a thing of beauty. And I truly enjoy drama, so I'd have to say all of them.
I never ventured into GGA, Amy was excellent fun, and it was at the request of our member and self policing that ended it. It was truly a rare and beautiful thing as much as a community as it was as a topic.

I must admit, you had to respect the fact that thread managed to get the first 2 pages of hits for that dealership on teh googles.....granted, I completely agree that it shouldn't have taken place.
The dolphin love thread from Sperlo was epic as well.....btw, where has GPS been lately?

Out of hand? maybe, shouldn't have taken place? I completely disagree.
There is the thing going on between now and the end of the year, won't mention it, also a no-no, that involves with all but a very select few exceptions, people who will berkeley you over, berkeley your kids over, berkeley your parents over, and smile in your face about it and not only know you will take it, expect you to like it. Stealerships that screw with people are the same sort.
Every once in awhile, just once in awhile, there comes a chance for you to be the one doing the berkeleying.
That was one of those chances. There is another one too, coming very soon, to a private booth near you. And if 30% of the country is smart you will get to do it twice.

While I was fond of GGA and Amy, I have the utmost respect and appreciation for everything the Suddard's do for us here. I have even started following "house rules" in the real world in regards to this year's political events.

Edit: overly nasty wording removed. I was grumpy this morning. Suffice to say "GGA" was the reason I quit posting here for like two years. Good riddance.
I believe GPS now goes by a certain saying from a character from the movie Tombstone.
I believe my favorite "gone" thread is going to be this one.
No love for the Ridgeline thread?
In reply to Flight Service:
You obviously missed the boat with what I meant, the spamming of "Xxxxxxx of xxxxxxx sucks" should have never taken place....and honestly, as far as the thing mentioned later this year, everyone with half a brain should already know they'll get berkeleyed over with either choice they make.
