Must be driven, nothing in the background.
For me, Miata in Super Troopers.

In Blazing Saddles, as the brawl spills out of the studio and into the streets, an orange, metal bumper MGB GT drives by in the foreground. Does that count? I had an orange '71 B GT.
I had a pair of Challenger convertibles. A R/T with a 440 in it, and a 318 car that I bought as a parts car, then swapped another breathed on 440 into.
(440 swapped Challenger shown)
Then in '94, everyone kept telling me about Natural Born Killers because of the car, and the fact that Mickey and Mallory shared my last name...
No, I've never watched the movie...
As a child of the 80s, the 944 in "Sixteen Candles" had an influence on me eventually owning a couple:
Second gen Charger. But which one? I initially thought the 69 from Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, but the 68 from Bullitt was 100 times more menacing.
*edit*
I think I read the original post wrong, as in your favorite car, not favorite shot of a car you own. Oh well

A friend used to run a red 944 in my time trial series, I would always put "Sixteeen Candles Edition" in the entry list.
Most memorable role to a Miata (other than in Racing The Rock, of course), is in Go where it was used to kill a main character and transport her body. Sorta.
I couldn't find anything particularly exciting involving my car (Honda Fit), but here's a website that might make the search easier for others: https://www.imcdb.org/search.php
You can sort the results by importance, too.
First gen RX-7 was used throughout the series Ultraman 80 as transport for the monster defense team.
In reply to Colin Wood :
Using this I have discovered the Intrepid is common as background fodder a lot.
Also a movie exists called 'Porn Star Zombies' has an Intrepid in it, so thats a thing.
Has to be Winston Wolf's NSX from Pulp Fiction for me. Escalades are everywhere but nowhere near as cool
