Just saw a commercial on Velocity. They're going to start showing Fifth Gear in October. I think they're going to be all new episodes too.
What few episodes I've seen, it actually isn't a bad auto journalist review show.

It's kind of like Top Gear but with more review and less goofiness. Definitely worth a watch.
Yup saw that commercial too. I was wondering if its gonna be just the old episodes but it looks like theyll be showing new ones. I hope Vicki Butler will still be one of the co presenters...she can drive!

Yep as a car review show I preferred Fifth Gear. Top Gear is more like gearhead-oriented entertainment with some reviewing thrown in. Plus Tiff Needel makes Jeremy Clarkson look like a noob.
Tiff's voice and style of speaking is like nails on a chalk board to me. I've only seen a few episodes because he's just soo hard to watch.
Met Tiff at Road Atlanta one year. He was walking through the paddock when I got his attention, I think I was the only person in America that recognized him. Nice guy, helluva driver.
Tiff is a thousand times better driver than any of the Top Gear crew.. maybe his presentation and voice leaves a little to be desired but he has substance over style, that's for sure.
Edited to add: meant better driver than the presenters, don't know about versus The Stig. Whichever Stig.
Tiff was actually The Stig (at least provided training to the celebrity drivers) in a recent season.
Because of this thread I went over to my TV to try to program it to record these when it begins. Unfortunately it's too far off to be able to set the timer, BUT I did discover that I could view Youtube videos directly on my TV through Dish so I watched a couple. Me Likey.
The one on the Ferrari vs. McClaren was very good.
It was different from the style of Top Gear, but very entertaining.
I am going to have to start watching the old episodes on Netflix.
I quit watching when Tiff stopped presenting with Vicki. Tiff is the man, whatever that douches name is they had on in the few shows I've seen recently is horrible.
I met Tiff at Mid Ohio a few years ago. He was with a film crew doing a story on the Dryson ALMS Vantage. He looked like he was in a hurry so I only said hi and that I liked his show.
