We got a decent Christmas bonus this year, so I decided to pick up a Logitech G27 and repurchase the GT 5 XL edition (after many here told me to try it out again).
Ordered it from Amazon this morning after an unsuccessful search for one locally this weekend. I'm excited to try the online racing in the GT 5 league once I get it all setup. I've never done any online stuff in the 5+ years I've owned the PS3.
I'm hoping the spare table I have at home will allow me something to attach it to for now. I'd like to buy a playseat, but it couldn't stay in the living room and dragging it out everytime would be a pain.
So teach me on how the online stuff works, I'm assuming it's pretty easy? Also, anyone have a link to the "user names" thread or whatever?
Get the game, and get some practice. Then join the league! We aren't extraordinary gentlemen, but we are all right just the same.
Oh, and I am going to kick yer butt.

I bought a g27, haven't played but once since I got the game a controller 6 months ago because I still haven't gotten a stand.
it is very difficult to play with without a stand to attach everything to and lay it out so that it's comfortable and useable lol
I will buy one, get decent, and join the league eventually though

To get your PSN ID go to the Playstation Network menu and choose Sign up for Playstation Network.
Just read the first page of the GRM series thread. It has all the PSN IDs of the people in the league. You will want to send a friend request at least to me (PSNID: allaircooled ). To send a friend request, go to Friends menu and choose Add a Friend.
If you can make it this Wednesday (if you get setup), let us know so we can gift you some cars (we all have plenty). You will likely be far from competitive, but you can putt around while we race 
.
Also of note is that next week is a testing week for the next season, so it is a good time to jump in and mess around. Again, you will probably need some cars, so let us know about that also.
