Dilema...
My company provided Promaster City will need tires before winter. My local approved vendors are:
Firestone
Mr. Tire (Monro owned)
Tire Choice (Monro owned)
Ram dealer
Independent, local Goodyear
I think I'll choose the local Goodyear guy who always seems busy.
You know, it is a FIRE-stone...No, don't do that.
Did you get road hazard? If so, a sidewall puncture can have them buying you a new tire every 2-3 months for the next year or two. How about the lifetime balance or alignment? You can ring that cash register every month or two until they throw you out.
Small claims court is probably your only recourse beyond blasting them on social media and a chargeback on your card.
Firestone is the reason I have a set of tire machines. They are a couple of steps below Jiffy Lube in the automotive repair business. Not to mention their tires are E36 M3 to start with.

Is there a reason you're not going the small claims court route?
Court for what? A 10 year old used car seat? Geez people... not worth the time, expense, or stress. It sucks that the seat is irreparably damaged but it can it can be replaced a lot easier and cheaply than suing some shiny happy person.
Find the managers car, get 4 small pebbles and put one under each valve stem cap and slightly tighten them to slowly leak......you don't mess around with Jim....

I'm not sure if I'm going that route. If not, it's simply because I'm absolutely swamped. My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimers and Dementia about 2 months ago. That leaves my wife and I with her finances and house to get in order, and now my two mentally disabled sisters are my responsibility. That's three women with different mental disabilities that need homes, POAs set up, accounts straightened out, health care to figure out, etc, etc, etc, and my house, wife, kids, and work.
This #*^&@ seat and filthy interior is something I did NOT need right now.
Oh, and I'm in a lawsuit right now, suing my insurance company for ghosting me after filing my claim after hurricain Ian.
Life has me by the short hairs right now. I tapped weeks ago but it's still not letting go.
In reply to DrBoost :
Ouch, that's fair. It could get what you want from them, but still only if what you get from them is also worth the time and effort... Which goes back to them playing those odds.
Alternatively, I wonder if you might also be able to apply a chargeback through your credit card... Since not-damaging your car is an unmet expectation of the service in question.

Except the bb should be superglued into the the cap, so that it doesn't fall out when the cap is removed. Also, 4 is likely to be figured out a lot more quickly than 1.
In reply to Driven5 :
So I guess "in theory" you can prepare these glued caps at home and the time at Firestone is quick and short.
My guess is the store manager is "one of those" who doesn't have valve stem caps on his car so that's even quicker?
Clean the car and move on. The excess stomach acid you will create will never be compensated by any fiscal satisfaction you may receive.
Sometimes you just gotta say, "What the berkeley."
Chain stores sucker people into believing they are cheaper than the dealer. I am dealing with a typically moronic manager at a local chain store on a customer's vehicle repair. Their labor rate is $149/hr, which is pretty much the same as my local new car dealerships. But at least you can have mechanics that couldn't get a decent job not working evenings and weekends work on your car if you go to the chain store.
My local mom and pop shops charge anywhere from $85 to $130/hr.
