The economy here has kind of taken a dump, was considering some 4 week on 2 week off jobs, where you fly in and out.

Does anyone have any experience doing this type of thing?

Will likely be maintenance or repair type work.

Saskatchewan / Alberta area's

Opinions are very welcome folks

Well I don't know much about repair type jobs but a former coworker does "hot shot" delivery's now and seems to do ok for herself. So basically I say buy a Ford Transit and go for it

My buddy ran cranes in Canada at a refinery.  Fort McMurray.  Had a similar deal.  Lived in a small room - got up at 4:30am and worked long days.   Made some decent cash and missed his wife a lot.   Met a lot of good guys.
