You may have seen the video from South Africa of the pickup that was attacked and how the driver kept his cool and survived. I will avoid any political commentary, this is a car site. I was interested in how a pickup truck survived that, and here is the answer. Glad I have a desk job that I don't have to leave home for.

I know those bulletproof windows are super stout. Long ago, a local forum group got together at my Dad's place for a firearms enthusiasts paradise. One of the guys was a mechanic for one of the armored car bank truck companies. They'd received a truck with an improperly installed drivers side windshield so it had to be replaced and disposed of. HE brought it out and filmed both high speed and normal speed it taking various rounds. We started at a .22 and worked up to a .308. Handgun and rifle. It became our main target and took somewhere around 300 hits before the first bullet fell through the back side. Literally.... fell out.
If he was in a CyberTruck he would have been hosed.
I watched that the other day. It took some real confidence for the host of the video to sit in the driver's seat of the truck while someone shot at the windshield. He didn't even flinch.
