I got the 20. I have some 20" graphite Tuffs that I should really use. Complete BMX bikes? Half a dozen, maybe.
Is the new TA oval tubed or normal round tubing? I can't tell from the pics.

I ended up getting a pirated one of eBay a few years ago. Looks like Sears has them, though:

You'll be kicking yourself when you come to your senses, and realize the hoarders have pushed the price beyond $50.00

Cool. I still have my Kappa frame, but this was just too cool. I need to build up one of them.
Wow, haven't seen gleaming the cube since I was a kid. Awesome stuff.

I remember seeing it on cable in the '80s. I don't know if it was in theaters, though.
So I bought a few old school bikes from a friend of mine tonight for my two boys to mess with. One is a total basket case, but my son really likes it. It is a Diamond Back "Zack Morris" model that is in okay shape, but needs a lot of work. I messed with the free wheel tonight, and found the bearings in the rear wheel were messed up. I tried putting them back together with some axle grease(auto stuff, all I had), and it's better, but still not right. I think I need new bearings. Also I have no idea how to work on bikes, so I'm going to need some help. Here is a rough pic of said bike:
I'm guessing the wheels aren't correct for the bike, but they work in a 90's sort of way.
One of the others is a Dyno Bazooka seen here:
It seems complete, and maybe not factory original, but my 9 year old loves it, and I do too.
The last cool bike I forgot to get a picture of, but it is a cool Haro with fancy aluminum wheels, and tapered forks. I will get pics of it tomorrow. Any help on working on bikes, and maybe special tools I may need would be great. The Zack Morris bike is the one we are working on first, and my 13 year old wants to join in the build, so I love the idea.

So- that diamondback- I'm an little jealous. Those are some of my favorites. You're right, those wheels are not correct. Iirc those are actually generic walgoose or similar. Diamondbacks of that era came with either spoked wheels, or possibly white tuffs. If its a pro model it may have had tuffs on it. What's interesting is they have extended axles on them, whatever bike they came off of had fatty pegs on it. It looks like the headsets been brought out too- pretty common for the era. I'd tear it down to frame, repack the bottom bracket and headtube, get a new Chain, and go from there.
I was wondering if I can still get new bearings for these wheels? They are cage type bearings and one of the rears was messed up with the balls falling out upon disassembly. I put it back together as best I could, but it isn't right and I struggled with reassembly as it was either too loose or too tight. It doesn't help that I don't have much in the way of standard tools and I'm guessing there are some special bike tools I'm lacking well.
When looking for brakes and a chain for the diamond back, what should I be looking for?
Any bike shop will have those bearings by the dozen. Take your race and make sure you get the right ones.

Any side pull brake should work. I'm more familiar with the mike Dominguez (another diamondback-) and were side pull...something. Bike shop should have all the stuff you need.
