in my 360 and playing it.....................NOW
Oh! something to look foward to when i get out work at 9!
I totally forgot it was coming out already... now, when is left 4 dead 2 coming out again?]]
I think I want to pick up a 360 soon. The Wii is great and all, but it really lacks the power for real games.
How does Forza 3 compare to Forza 2? I know the graphics are better, but how do the controls feel?
Oh crap. I forgot too, this is going to be a very long night. I'm very curious to see how the online matchmaking systems work.
I posted it before, but my gamertag is GRM Tom. See you online after the kiddies go to bed...
Wow, being able to buy a fox body in a racing sim game post GT2 makes me very, very happy.
a Firebird GTA too. Oh, the 80's era crapscle car races will be fantastic! (i say "crapscle car" with love in my heart)

Just based on the demo, I felt the controls were better. The RWD cars were less twitchy and had a more realistic feel to them. I can push a little harder with a stock car than I could in FM2.
My Gamertag is anonymousDaemon.
I started with the Citroen, won the Abarth 500 and promptly bought...
a 3rd gen Camaro. Hey, it was 6000 bucks and it has a lot of potential. Most importantly, it's cool and I like it. Black, just like the one I almost bought in high school. Gonna drop a 6 speed into it. That and an E30 M3 are what I've got now that I want to keep.
Just picked up the LCE of Forza 3, and it is awesome! I ended up playing through two seasons after I got off of work yesterday morning.
I love the variety of prize cars you get for ranking up your driver level! So far, the only two cars I have bought are the 1994 Miata and the 1993 Cobra R.
Are there any real obscure cars in the game?
Ford Escort? E30? E30 M3? Older Audis? Renault Clio? Fiat Abarth?

Yes to all.
I really like the feel of the controls, I think the physics engine is largely unchanged, but the tire modeling is much improved. Meaning the physics engine works much better. So, far I've only bought the 1994 Miata and a 22B.
I saw the track list online today. Road atlanta(awesome!) but i would love to see the monaco f1 course. Maybe a cheat?
This type of talk may force me to buy a 360. I just HATE the controllers though. Diehard PS fan. I too have pre-ordered L4D2. Look for wat-da?
I am super tempted to go out and aquire a 360 just so I can play this game.
Xbox noob question: Can the game be run on a normal TV or is a HDTV required to be able to read the text?

You can just read the text on a normal def TV. HDTV makes the experience just about perfect.
I played the Forza demo just the other night. I need to practice.
Nurburgring! Cool!
I've been noticing that reading text is getting harder with new games. I too am currently stuck with standard def.
I have stayed away from teh new generation of consols just because I am too much of a cheap skate to pony up for a HDTV. Especially since the aspect ratio of the TV is different and a decently sized screen would have trouble fitting in the TV cabnet...
But if I can read the text on Forza3 then it may finally be time to get a 360...
i picked the new fit as my first car, then got an LS1 trans am, and then a t3rd gen camaro. Won the Fiat and an Alfa Romeo so far. I love the cockpit view and the smoothness of the menus now. Graphics are way better and gameplay is better too. Just getting home from a weak sauce 7 to 7 day and the gym. Time for another long night.
I know nothing about video games or consoles except for playing what my daughter has on her Wii, but the ads for Forza have got me seriously considering a PS3. $350 seems steep for one game though. I think I can get a Babe car for that!
Pinchvalve you can't play Forza 3 on PS3 as it is exclusive to Microsoft. However, Gran Turismo 5, ( a Sony exclusive), is scheduled to come out in Japan in March, so the rest of the world should see it soon after. Fanboys for both series bite at each other's necks, but let's just say both Forza 3 and Gran Turismo 5 are top tier console racing games. They both offer a decent combination of simulation handling while still being accessible to the general public.
