This morning, we had freezing fog. The air was warm enough for fog, but the ground (and surfaces near it) were significantly colder. We get frost all the time, but I've never seen patterns like this before.
I thought the subject line said "frozen frog," too. The frozen fog is way cooler. Thanks for sharing.
on the topic of frozen fog, we had that too a few weeks ago! here's the daily from that morning
And as far as frozen frogs, we had a koi pond at our last house that had several froggy inhabitants. A frog got stuck under the ice in the pond one winter, and fell lifeless and upside down to the bottom of the pond. One morning in the spring, I watched him roll over, swim up the surface, and crawl out. We called him Lazarus.

He's just sleeping!
my cars always look different when that happens... must be all the dirt... but it does wash away most of the dirt and make the car look cleaner when it melts as long as it doesn't get hit by direct sunlight and sublimate- which also leaves some cool patterns in the dirt on the car.

Can I please haz the capability?
You might need to prevent your camera from having LSD or acid next time....
Also, conversely, have you ever seen a staticly charged plastic car collect frost?
I've seen that before, but the pattern was much smaller. That is VERY cool. And the static-charged car looks like it has white fur.
They used to turn on the sprinklers at my old place of employment in the middle of the night, even if it were fairly well below freezing. Whenever they would do this and it was super cold (25F or so, this IS Florida), we'd all have similar looking patterns on our cars.
