I just signed up for the Mid-Michigan Bike MS ride, 17-18 July. You can donate and/or read my training updates at:

AngryCorvair's 2010 BikeMS page

i rode 43 miles on Sunday in 2:29. I will not come anywhere close to that pace for the 100 miles either day. I ride for my brother Frank, who was diagnosed with MS in 1994. He used to kick my ass, now he can barely walk. :-(

Rock and ROLL, man!!! Way to get in it!!! Very psyched for you.

After my 45 mile ride on Saturday, my taint resembled the glowing header of an F1 car. Went to the bike shop and got some $100 shorts (Scorpions? can't remember) some chamois butter and had them do a fitting tweak on my bike. Hopefully, the chafing will not be as much of an issue then.

Otherwise, my conditioning seems to be there.

Sorry to hear about your bro. It's way tougher on men than it is on women in most cases. Best wishes to him and best wishes to you on the ride.

Let's see that vintage bike you're riding.

(donated, BTW)

good luck guys. I've always wanted to do one of the MS events. The City to Shore in Philly is nice.

I wish i could ride a bike.. After the accident my shoulder is still goofed up and I have some nerve damage so putting weight on my left arm is painful.. Its getting better.

here's the most recent pic i've got. currently rocking bontrager blackwalls (27x1-1/4"). yep, that's foam on the bars. it's still really comfy. tires and saddle are the only things I've changed. there is a chance i'm going to throw on a set of 700c wheels i've got, but don't know if the rear will package. one is 7-sp the other is 9-sp. if either will fit, i will make the derailleur work.
