I received a gift card for Amazon wasn't sure what to get the bots suggested a gel blaster. Took me to one that was $25. Are the cheap ones a couple uses and chuck? Thought it might be a cheap toy to shoot targets with my kids inside.

Foam darts? Granted they are not normally used for static target practice.
It's not $25 or sold by Amazon, but this would typically put about 3/5 darts on a foot-square target at 25ft. Actual range is obviously a lot more but there are always some really annoying wild fliers.

Sleeping very soundly on a Friday morning, I was dreaming I was Al Capone...
My oldest boy got a SAW replica. I taught him about controlled bursts and to ensure he was announcing "get some". Now, my 3yo daughter does it when she uses the gun.
(no ammo in the gun, they just like hearing the thing fire)
