I'll trade you -- have had the Baskin Robbins Ice Cream and Creamy Cake jingle stuck in my melon for a while now -- and even trying to switch over to the Ramones "I wanna be sedated" isn't working!!!

My wife watches Two and a half men.

The only thing worse than that show, is the intro song, and I get it stuck in my head every time I hear it. It's hell.

The only reliable way to get rid of an earworm is to replace it with something else.

It's called an "earworm". and they can be brutal.

This morning, it was "Landslide", by Fleetwood Mac.

God only knows why. There must be a reason for it.

The one that always makes me want to kill is Paula Cole's 'I don't want to wait'.

There is no song that gets stuck in my head like Misty Mountain Hop by Led Zeppelin. Second place is All Night Long by the James Gang (Joe Walsh). When I was in high school, Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes was brutal. A kid in one of my classes knew it and would hum it every day

My earworm seems to get stuck on "shuffle play". The past 4 days at work, my brain would mostly alternate between Sam and Dave's "Soul Man" and the theme from The Muppets.

Every once in awhile, I would start whistling "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" for some reason. At this point, my co-workers would pretty much leave me alone.

Actually, this Caro Emerald cover of Bad Romance is wonderful: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RgRwIVMfM4&feature=PlayList&p=D6C181FC24B49375&playnext_from=PL&playnext=1&index=1

Guaranteed cure for song virusing? Try singing the lyrics of Amazing Grace, to the tune of the theme from Gilligans Island. It works. SRSLY.

When I would go to the nurse's office in H.S. I would inevitably hear Blue Velvet sung by Bobby Vinton.

Hey, that was kinda fun -- she has a great voice!

Speaking of abs - ABS... I had an interesting experience last week. Was on an event to launch a new tire in one of the southern states. We were a doing wet braking exercise at their testing grounds... one of the instructors said to me about the ABS "pretend you're stomping on a spider". WTF? I asked him if he said the same thing to the guys for crissakes.
