End of the trail...no, his son didn't grow up. He flew back home from Oklahoma and another friend flew in to finish trip.
Only problem they had the entire trip with the car was late in the trip had trouble maintaining battery voltage. Had a generator and voltage regulator shipped in but that didn't solve the problem. So they resorted to just charging the battery at night and it lasted all day the next day. Not bad for a 58 year old car. 2740 miles over 2 weeks.
