My wife writes social media content for a marketing firm.
They've got a new client, and she is writing stuff for their Twitter/ FaceBook feed. The client is a commercial truck leasing company (big rigs). They are based in a small Southern town, but lease interstate.
The marketing company gave her a list of topics, but I found them to be kind of uninspiring. (Might have something to do with a trucking company that thinks it needs a Twitter presence, and hires a bunch of women with no truck knowledge to write them something!)
So I thought I'd ask the hive...
Their goals are to attract business (hours of operation, etc), and to attract good mechanics.
I'm not completely sure that diesel mechanics or people who are looking to lease a truck are on Twitter, but...
They want 20 "lightweight manly" topics (like sports, NASCAR, fishing, gadgets, hunting), and 20 "meaty" trucking topics (CDL related, equipment, logistics, truck safety, ASE certified techs, etc).
So, whatcha think? What topics would grab the attention of that audience?
Keep in mind, a lot of these posts need to be 160 characters or less, so she's not gonna dig too deep!
I think she needs a hook (gimmick, theme, focus). Maybe something like truck trivia, etc.
Ready, set, go!
