I have an old golf cart that has a Honda 13hp swapped into it. I've had it for about 2 years.

recently it has started to bog down at anything more than half throttle. I am thinking it has something to do with the torque converter. I took a video of the torque converter as it was trying to drive and go up a hill.

The engine bogs and the converter that goes the the transaxle just stops spinning. Is this an issue with the torque converter or the transaxle?

I am trying to troubleshoot to see what it is not driving like it used too.

It looks to me like the secondary clutch (the one on the transaxle) should be letting the belt all the way back out to the OD.

It looks like an old club car, what year is it?

Secondary clutches usually fail in three ways, the plastic ramp wear out or break off, the sliding sheave sticks and doesn't move freely, or the spring breaks.

Ramp and spring failure can be checked visually.

Transaxles don't often fail that way.

Serial number or model and year and I can give more specific information.

It shouldnt do that.

I believe that to be an aftermarket clutch. I dont think club car make a factory one any more. They stopped using that style of transaxle in 1997.

Part number 1012288 or possibly up dated to 1014450. I would just buy a new one rather than replacing the spring. Aftermarket springs are generaly pretty bad.
