Going out to eat dinner at a local restaurant with the wife, new baby, my dad, and wife's mom that does the full turkey day spread. It's out third year doing it and it's so much easier than cooking at home. None of us can eat the leftovers of even a small bird before it goes bad anyway.

My wife is cooking a turkey-less traditional meal. It's only the two of us anyway, with the new job I didn't want to take close to a week off so soon after starting it.

I'm really glad you all are doing great tonight. The older I get the more I realize it's the people who are important, places and things come and go, but your friends/family are the things that matter. Great to have you all here.

Having a girlfriend with a culinary degree is quite a thing to be thankful for. Look at this glorious creation!

In other things to be thankful for, I left my job of 11 years in the auto parts biz 2 weeks ago and this is the first Black Friday I haven't had to work in just over a decade. That's a great feeling.
