My day started with the 7th annual Northwest Z Club Show and Shine at Forged Performance. Tons and tons of beautiful Z cars, more turbo 280s than I've ever seen before, and 3 dyno pulls for 40 bucks.
WIfes car was having some weird vibrations on the way there, turns out the ball joint was juuuust about done, it was very loose. Lucky for me, the local auto parts store had a new Moog piece in stock, they also had all the parts I needed to do the front brakes while I was in there. One of the perks of going to the same store every time, I got the ahem GOOD discount
Brakes and ball joint go very smoothly, got it done just in time for my wife to drive it the 50 miles (without problem, might I add ) she needed to. Now, I'm just sitting back with a good cigar and my favorite beer enjoying the end to an unusually good day.
So, what did you do today...
Edit: Pictures!! Just a few of my favorites there.
Took my brother out to play paintball for his 27 birthday. Also had my other bro, and my 59 year old dad out there. Good times.
Sold a bunch of bikes, had a spontaneous early dinner with friends I haven't seen in way too long, beers and watching episodes of LOST with Chuck. Good times.

Woke up late with a house full of out of town friends. Made everybody breakfast in a very relaxed manner, hung out around the new house, outside on an uncommonly glorious St. Louis August day. Went to an international festival in a big city park, walked around and ate my way around the wold inside the space of a city block. Napped, saw a good friend's nail-biter of a roller derby championship game - we won! Had some great tacos (mmm...tongue...) while watching the UFC fight. More drinks on the patio tonight, speakers pointed outside playing a great mix of chicha, son, and afro-beat; maybe a little hot tub later.
(Only regret: missed my girlfriend's favorite...um, adult actress...dancing...at a...gentlemen's entertainment establishment. The need for food won the day. Oh well. I guess that's why they invented the internets.)
This might be about as good as it gets, for a totally non-productive day.
I worked... 16 hours and it is now 5 am.. goodnight!
Yesterday? Had McDonalds Bfast - MMM McGriddles, I read a bunch from the second book in a series Im surprised I enjoy...but I really liked The OC on TV, so Im sure I have a twisted sense of "good" entertainment. Then the Wife and I walked our dog to a little park and had a picnic, walked home and I mowed the lawn, we went back to the park in the afternoon(Cincinnati was enjoying ridiculously fabulous weather as well) and read a bunch more. We ate some good food at the pub that no one even knows is there, We went home and I enjoyed several Grolsch's from the wacky topped bottles while she sampled 2 buck Chucks finest Cabernet. We watched some design TV (yuck - shes addicted to HGTV) and I finished the second book and moved on to the 3rd..Im rooting for Jacob, but its looking bleak...
Today sigh I work...thank Heaven for Saturdays
Sat. Got up late and went to J-mans to mess with the Jensenator for a couple of hours. Then took the kids to a birthday party. Came home and watched the Rolex race on DVR. Right now, watching F1. It's feeling like a lazy day
Toyman, another buddy and I stuck a Band Aid on the Jensenator's tranny tunnel. I had a big ol' steak and loaded baked potato for dinner, polished off a couple of EBC brews. Yep, a good day.

Sat... sleep late trying to recover from the nearly 5 hr drive back from VIR... usually takes ~ 3.. 3 1/2 hr... the rain was UNBELIEVABLE at times I was down to 45 mph on I40 the visibility was approaching zero....
then changed the front pads on the CRX .... found out why I had so little brakes at the track
then veggied out for the rest of the day... watched the Rolex and veggied some more...
