Went 8 years without a dentist because mine was E36 M3. I have one tooth without a filling now because it's a wisdom that is still coming in. Two of my wisdoms already have fillings.
I was scared as hell to see a dentist, but bit the bullet and went. He has been great. He has done extensive work and is suggesting more work, while I'm leaning towards having some teeth removed.
The point I'm driving at; You can put yourself through some remarkable pain by berkeleying with your own teeth. See a dentist, tell them you're not comfortable with dentists, and they will do their best to work with you. Nitrous helps, too. Makes me too dizzy to use it, but it helps.
