Umm... how would we tell around these parts?
Oh, you know... Starts buying Camry's with no intention to race it, wonders which tire is the most quiet, buys a Sebring because he wants a convertible...

A couple real easy signs:
1) I buy a 3rd miata
2) I ever own more than 2 MX6 GTs at one time (previously i've been good about shuffling to never have more than 2 at a time, despite having owned 4 different ones this year already)
3) I agree with Bobzilla more than once a month
4) Same as #3, but Javelin
5) I stuff an F2T in the Escort in an effort to drive it
6) I sell my red 90 MX6 GT
Beyond that, it'll be hard to tell i think.
1, 2 and 5 seem like they would be more or less par for the course...

What you don't know is that i'm not a huge fan of Miatas, but i already have 2 and think i'm an idiot for it. A 3rd should send me to the asylum.
2 is a problem since same as above. I've said it time and time again on here that these cars are best used as daily driver hooligans. If i have more than two, then wtf?
5) I have enough clarity at the moment to know that doing that swap would be REALLY stupid from the standpoint that the Escort is/was built on.
If number three ever happens
I'd say the pay raise and jobs security for the next three years is enough to take it on. More pay is usually associated with more responsibility. I'm sure after you start mastering this new position the stress levels will go down. Just remember to take a deep breath and work out every now and then to relieve it :)

Holy E36 M3. I just peed myself laughing. Thanks now you owe me a new set of Thomas underoos
You guys talk about stress like it's some unavoidable force, or something. Stress is from YOU. It is your reaction to the situation. Learn how to deal with situations, and stress is practically nonexistant.

Congrats on the new job. When does the training start?
One thing I've learned is that in a case like this, once you made your decision live with and make the most out of it. If a year from now, you have doubts that you made the right choice, realize there is no way to know what would've happened if you made the other choice. In other words, have no regrets. That doesn't mean don't learn from the experience and use that new knowledge to help you make a similar decision next time.

Thanks TJ!
I don't have an official start date yet but i imagine it'd be within 2 weeks.
I'm going to work my butt off at this and see where it gets me. Half-assing or putting half effort into this particular position is a recipe for disaster and i knew at least that much going in to it.
