I was planning on doing the game again this year, but I'm thinking I'll start it a bit later than I did last year. Last year I think I got a bit excited and started the game too early and left too much room for gift sending and it kind of fizzled out a bit there in the middle.

So I figured this year I'd try to run it about the same time frame as 2014 (mid to late-ish december) and hope to have everyone's gift received by the new year. I thought this might keep things rolling, and encourage participation.

That is, unless you guys thought otherwise

I'm in for another year as long as the non-participant that had my name last year isn't on the list this year.

I'll have to start thinking about what to give... Since I'm in Canada for work all the time, I could easily work either side of the border. Carrying that care package across the border should certainly make me popular.

I do have about 4 people on the "naughty list". I was really bummed about that

Rules do state that they would be barred from participation, BUT I had a thought while at work that I'd let them back in if they sent a really good "apology gift" to the person they had last year and of course a gift to the person they got this year... We'll see. Might have to go on a case by case basis on that one

IIRC last year you did it as a direct swap. Could it be done as 'person 1 sends to 2, 2 sends to 3, 3 sends to x, x sends to 1?

I may be in again if you want to do it internationally. Also totally ok with being excluded if it makes it easier.

RedGT: Usually I pool about 10 names together and start half way down the list. So person 1 has 5, 2 has 6, 3 has 7... and so on back to 1. It's a killer to keep track of in excel but I figure that way people cant just look at the thread and see who posted above them.

I did have to do two instances where A had B and B had A, mostly due to international shipping (Australia. I figure if you're paying to send a gift there, you should at least get something cool from down under in return)

Everyone: I think December 1st is going to be the start of the official 2016 thread, and names will be sent out around the 15th. I'm hoping that'll put us in a nice tight time frame without being too overbearing on an already busy time of year.
