just a quick note: I mass emailed (approx 4500 emails) all the members of my old website to try and raise awareness and donations in support of the flight missions. still waiting to hear from abel, and im also trying to make headway in my area to get more med supplies for bahama... ran into a kink yesterday and the wisdom tooth decided i didnt need to talk anymore, and punished me severely when i tried to ignore it, an emergency prescription and extraction scheduled are addressing that one..ugh.. this is all nothing compared to what Paul and Chuck have already done, and i am nowhere near the salesman chuck is... but im good at needling people and starting to see some potential in those im bugging .. I found allot of people who really do care, and I am helping them find ways they can help as well. many conversations have a "you know, i know this guy pretty who who might be able too.." and hopefully those will start to pan out soon... i wont stop pushing ... Eric...
Chuck- Been trying to reach you on your cell phone, but haven't been able to get through. Everything ok? -Louis
Carzan- Cell phone is down until tomorrow. PM me. Minor change in logistics here. When I go on the air Sunday, I expect a major flood of donations. Problem is that the hanger at Ft.Lauderdale airport is full, no room for a lot more stuff. Local Bahamas Habitat have teamed up with Food for the Poor, a huge local charity that has the logistics in place to both recieve and transport the donations. This will be basically canned food. Interesting thing is that the CEO of Food for thr Poor is a brother of one my big prospects in Jamaica. I will continue to solicit donations of medical supplies, which will be handled separately, even if they go to my living room. The adventure continues. Thank you all for your support. This is a big deal.
Hello to all & thank you Morbid! Glad to see Paul back for now~know he is going again soon. All is well and moving forward. As you know Chuck will be doing a radio broadcast on Sunday and needs to be~wants to be armed with as much reliable information as possible to enable those are are willing to help in the best way possible. As Chuck has said "Food For The Poor" is another avenue to donate~we will be talking to them tomorrow with regards to what is most needed & how to get the goods to them. Getting things organized seems to be a very individual process indeed. I know that what they need primarily cash donations through Bahamas Habitat &: Can foods (meats, veggies, milk, fruits), liquid boxed milk, Pedialyte, Baby Formula~I will have a more exact list tomorrow after speaking with their rep. I want to be of assist in any way I can, but do not plan any trips until I know more with regards to existing logistics and execution. Thank you all ~ it is most certainly my pleasure to be part of this. Sincerely Jane.
Hey Chuck:
How hard would it be for us to get together a gang of people to sort stuff in the warehouse in Ft Lauderdale?
There's a LOT of stuff heading down that there is not a big need for right now, and it's taking up space on the planes. I've got an excellent sense of the REAL needs (and they are not what most people think), and would be willing to go to Ft Lauderdale for a weekend and help coordinate if a team would show up.
I know you've been in the hanger and know the specifics there- can we get in there?
latest update from our Friend Abel, youll need something to read adobe pdf files with, and a box of tissues... http://www.stockclasspaintball.com/scpcares/reliefupdate1.shtml
If you're sitting at home right now, turn on ABC and watch the show "The Doctors". Very eye opening.

I can help next Saturday; just say the word.
Edit: I spoke too soon; I am scheduled both Saturday and Sunday, which hasn't happened in about six months. Sorry to back out.
That could work. Let me see what we can do. I'll keep you posted.
My boss and I are now putting together a plan to focus our efforts and take over the responsibility for relief efforts on behalf of Bahamas Habitat in relation to the island of La Gonave. That's one of the locations we landed in this week.
Of course, that means (by default) you will all be a part of it.
It's pretty exciting. We will be flying more planes down there, and trying to put together more ongoing efforts. We are currently trying to hook up a bigger airlift with the military. Pretty sure we can get an Albatross or a hovercraft to assist.
I've got some videos I'm trying to get online to share with you.
We are trying to move quickly before the window of opportunity closes. When the various government muckity mucks get into the mix, efforts will be a lot harder. (They'll tighten the border security, get their corruption machine moving, etc.)
Our local newspaper did a poll of Haitian Americans. Over 60% think the Haitian government is not helping, and many are saying that the UN should take over. Now THATS an interesting idea! Reference the hanger- How many of us could pitch in next Saturday? I think it's a very good idea. I will go by there today to scope out the present situation. How did that landing strip on Gonave work out?
Gonave strip was crazy- 2200 ft dirt path no wider than a pickup truck with a dogleg in the middle, boulders lined up at the end, and 400 people on the runway.
Can't wait to go back!
I'll get the video up hopefully today.
Talked, well e-mailed, with a missionary on the ground in La Gonave. Food is critical, island has never had much water, things are getting bad. Security will soon be a problem. Talked with another group out of Washington state, they have a full container of food, 88,000 pounds, heading directly to Gonave, but will take a week to get there. Film at 11:00.
You'll need to log in to post.
