My opinion.
Meh.
YMMV
White, black, three colors of grey. If your lucky, a dark red and if really lucky one blue choice (but it could be a grey /blue)
They were cool when they were uncommon, and the non metallic ones have some merit, but the metallics have become so common as to bore me into oblivion. All the way from bright silver to metallic black should be banned for a decade at least.
If you're talking about those pastel gray (or grey) things that look like garage floor paint, they're disgusting. Once the fad passes that colour will be worth less than pretty much any other version of the same car.
Why is it that all the best examples of cars I'm looking at are red? It's the one colour I said I'd never buy again
I think the color is boring, but what makes me really dislike gray cars is that they always seem to be the ones with no lights on in the rain or at night, blending in with the pavement and locally anyway driving like shiny happy people.
I may be biased but I really like Mazda's polymetal Grey. I should be getting a 3 manual in that color in May
In reply to Patientzero :
Your Mustang is silver. Not grey. I am reffering to the battleship grey that some new-ish cars are painted.
Just needs PT-73 on the side I guess.
Just my opinion. And everybody has one.
Meh. The only color of gray I don't particularly like is the electrical box gray some manufacturers have started using. Looking at you Toyota.
Other than that...
My Mustang is tungsten gray. I really, really wanted a sonic blue one but couldn't find any that weren't banged up. I found a super clean, one owner gray one and was tired of shopping.
It would never be my first choice, but I've grown to like it. Best of all, it isn't black (the top selling color and one I absolutely refuse to own).
Mazda's Polymetal Grey is interesting even though it isn't my favorite on the ND. I love the Soul Red and I'm not a red car person at all.
Grey covers a huge amount of colors. In general, I find it inoffensive but often boring. I like real colors - especially blues, greens, oranges, and yellows - but I'm ok with grey.
Some of my favorite colors are non-metallic greyish blues. A lot of people think they look like primer; I think they look spectacular. See Ottawa's Miata for example:
I had a grey market M-5 once, cool if you have the supporting documents. But it sounds like Noddaz is asking about paint.
Gotta say - I really like an Audi A-6 in what looks like primer grey, no metallic, no pearl. I've seen two, on with maroon pinstripes, the other with blue and white striping. I liked it. =~ )
Grey metallic with black wheels, I had a Tacoma and really liked. To be fair my Taco was my favorite truck, so color was no matter.
