I have an old, fragile antique desk that I need to get from PA to MI. It's at my cousin's house so no rush on this. I am in PA now but we don't have room to bring it back with us. It would need to be shipped enclosed and well padded. I'm wondering if the GRM Express might be able to help.
Thanks!
Just a few short miles off the Ohio Turnpike I have a self storage locker with 24 hr access. In the map below I have marked it as "work." Sandusky, Ohio area. This could be a drop point for anyone heading through the Ohio Turnpike. This then put it 2.5 hrs from OP which could be a weekend run or even and after work run (24 hr access.)
Bumping this for the holiday travel planners.
Fun fact about this desk. It once belonged to Charles Munn, publisher of Scientific American magazine, in the early 1900s
Thanks!
Bump. My cousin needs this desk moved. I've priced a trailer hitch for my wife's car - not worth it. I might be able to fit it on the roof rack, which is what we'll probably end up doing, however, if anyone is traveling nearby that could help, that would be awesome. Thanks!
Dude. This will be kindling if you move it on a roof rack.
Cheapest option here.
Use expedia to find the best rates on a van, take it home, pull the seats, hunker down for an 18 hour ish total drive time. Or rent the van for a weekend and spend some time with the family. Either way this will be the cheapest way to go and give you the desired results.
Unlike U-Haul, these guys dont charge by the mile*.
*=confirm they do not charge by the mile, or so many miles/day. I have been hit by over-mileage from Hertz before, the "unlimited mileage" doesn't mean you can cannonball it across the country in 3 days, but its only been on top shelf luxury SUVs, not passenger vans.
