You put a tray underneath each rear wheel of a light FWD car and go drifting in an empty parking lot sliding those rear wheels around.

Those can totally be used to separate parts during a complex repair. Muffin trays (obviously, they have to be beyond food-grade, why would you use a perfectly clean muffin tray to separate greasy auto parts, Jeff??!) also work well.

And yea, that parenthetical up there, that was an actual conversation in our apartment a few weeks ago. We have 5 (five! FIVE?!) muffin trays that hold 12 each, what the hell could she want 5 of them for? And the grease washed out anyway, and you use those little paper things with muffins, the dough doesn't actually touch the metal, sheesh.

This.

  1. Take a FWD econobox. A VW Golf will do. Or my '93 Toyolla Wagon.
  2. Place one tray under each of the two rear wheels.
  3. Gun the engine and do donuts until the tires burn through the trays.
  4. Remove used trays and repeat.

They can be used to separate food items during mealtime.
