Ok, I'm a little late in posting the contents of my box.  Totally forget to open it in an exciting fashion.  Next year for sure!

Layer 1:

Good assortment of random stickers, tire plug kit, JB Weld (already put it in the race box), and a Toyota Expert Technician patch.  I'm hoping that last one gets me a good pay raise.

Layer 2:

Big AF zip ties, matching set of wheel locks with key (!), weatherstripping of some description, and a Kumho coozie.

Layer 3:

Carnage.  I bet that sounded expensive!

Layer 4:

GM tape deck of questionable vintage, throttle body, world's crustiest lineman pliers, shift knob, and assorted small emblems and items.

Thanks, Mr. barefootskater!

That GM tape deck went into approximately a bazillion "A bodies" during the 1980's and 1990's.  I had one- a 1990 Cutlass Cierra, in a color my friends called "Menstrual Mauve".  I grabbed a deck like the one you have from a junkyard with a busted power button, soldered in a new button, tossed some six-by-nines in the back, and used to crank Simon and Garfunkel tapes cut from LPs on my way to high school senior year.

Buddy of mine had a Pontiac 6000, and another friend had a Buick Century.  All with the same radio.  I'm sure it found its way into Chevy Celebrities, too, though we all came from middle class families that were *just* high enough middle class that nobody bought a Chevrolet, unless it was a truck.

Swmbo stopped at the mail, and lo and behold- there was a box! whoa. The REAL enzo ferrari? I am not worthy. I also didnt know he had an office in florida.

After I packed it up and labeled the address, it occurred to me that I should have used another name, in keeping with the Hot Wheels set: AKA Ferdinand Porsche. I'm glad the package arrived okay.

I also believe mr. Enzo has been stalking me- because someone is an artist in their own right.

I had my kids take a go at  it; I added the Kilroy. well played, mr. Ferrari. I elected to not open the box aggressively this year (and work would not let me borrow the 461 with the 28" bar. THATS a fun chainsaw) . This served me well, as the first layer was..... bubble wrap! Swmbo was very upset when i didnt let her pop all of it. My bubble wrap, dammit.  Once removed, the bubble wrap revealed many treasures, most of determinate origin. DIY tackle maker book covered the top. Neat stuff. Book set aside-  ...I used to build custom fishing rods as a side line when I was a horse trainer. I haven't fished once since I bought a Miata and started autocross (I "blame" GRM).

Stickers, bungee cord, zip ties, 1/4 compression cap (with ferrel) super neat Porsche hot wheels semi (sorry next victim,  definitely keeping that) and a Windsor fuel pump block off. I know ford entered lemans to spite Ferrari 9r something- I didnt know enzo would send the guts of his slain enemies. more things! Tent stakes, a super sweet audio catalog (that had a womans name on the back? Mr. Ferrari....does your wife know? A radiator cap (presumably from a windsor) microfiber towels, a crizal lens cleaner (I need all of these. Seriously. I ruined all my other ones) tent stakes, a 3/4x6" brass nipple (this is actually a really nice piece of pipe work). A general tire can cookie, some ptfe tape, two reflective stickers,  a 10mm deep socket,  surgical dressing scissors....what I THOUGHT were grm stickers (even better, they're magnets!)  A Haynes for a honda accord, a valve from a motor lovingly wrapped in little trees, a windsor oil prime, some hose clamps, a magnet with some of Britain's finest metal attached, and easily the scariest fish hooks I've ever held. But, once I uncovered ALL OF THAT- there was.....a live cat? He seemed pretty content in the box, so...

Ok, just kidding. That's pastrami. He likes boxes, apparently. (I got him on Sunday. Still learning).

All in all, some really neat stuff. Between the piston out of the tunachucker I got last year and the windsor bits, I'm pretty sure I own more Ford horsepower than my 89 escort.

Thank you, mr. Ferrari. I shall treasure all of this.

Indeed, you're welcome!

now my fridge is fast.

I made the magnets with some magnet sheet material that I bought for making number and class magnets for autocross. I'm really glad I threw them in at the final packing, since that fridge definitely has too much blank space.

Enjoy!

You're welcome. The tape deck is from a 1990 S10. Worked well when removed, though if you decide to use it be advised that the speakers it was driving were 10ohm so it may not take much to make the amplifier go pop.

Hey, this is a family forum.  Remember what happened to the OMGGA thread?

It is getting down to that part of the game where things slow down a bit.  So far people have been absolutely amazing about posting when they send and receive things and I can say with 99% certainty that if you haven't received your gift yet, it is on the way  (about 10 people left, if my calculations are correct).

I do have my list, and once I re-verify who sent and received what, I'll send out the obligatory friendly reminders.

For the few who receive and don't post, I do keep track of that as well.  So far we haven't had any repeat offenders, but should the potential for one come up I think a friendly reminder that reiterates the importance of sharing would be in order.  It's a busy time of year, sometimes things slip.

Cheers guys!

-Bill

-The LED lamps work well as headlights, they just blind all oncoming traffic.  I used an identical set for night rallycross, then local sites dried up before that new set ever got installed on the new rx car.

Hmm. Maybe I can use some aluminum flashing to give them a hard cutoff. I'm so thoughtful. I've also thought about mounting some proper driving lights on a removable bar that I can bolt to the nose of the car for transit sections. Or... just breaking down and buying a trailer.

-lol @ tool pouch.  Man, maybe i should have used it for that.  They're supposed to be little winter coats for your sideview mirrors so they don't get frosted up overnight.  Yes that's probably useless in WA, but trust me they are also useless in snowy PA and probably useless in Canada too for that matter.  Who buys these things?  My mother.  As xmas gifts.  Idunno.

What!!?

I still can't quite believe someone made this product. It's not particularly useful to insulate something that doesn't have it's own heat source, eventually it will all just be ambient temperature, and then it's just a mirror with a mitten on it.

I think when I remove my miata mirrors I will use these to package them, so they don't get damaged. Or maybe just put them on a random Tesla parked downtown to mess with someone's head.

Regardless, brilliant box of randomness! Thanks!!

It's worth mentioning that I haven't seen Yuengling out here, although you'd have no way of knowing I have any idea what that is.

In reply to dr_strangeland :

To be fair, by putting a bag over them overnight, the moisture in the air condenses (or the snow or freezing rain falls) onto the bag instead of the mirror face, so you don't have to go at the mirror with the ice scraper.  But a literal plastic bag will accomplish the same thing.  Or brush it off real quick and go on your way.  Or have heated mirrors.

Finally got a chance to post pictures, here goes:

A box has appeared!  Reinforced with the best of the best.  Just under 12 pounds.

Topped with a magazine.  The sender is evidently associated with a firestone in Texas or has been pilfering their magazines.

A pair of Corbeau seat belt pads, some kind of valve, some random thermostat in the blue box, and the green and black thing i cannot figure out at all.  Seems like maybe some component of a small adjustable suspension like on a bike maybe?

Next layer:  Two MORE seat belt pads!  The back seats can match the fronts!  HF right angle drill, I have one of these in the house and was going to grab another for the garage - nice timing.

Two Texas license plates.

A layer of decade old import magazines and DVD's that I never knew existed.  "Major Bangs all over the place"  My wife:  "snrrk oh does he now?"

Two more Texas license plates.  One won FTD.

Two MORE Texas license plates...

And insulating the bottom of the box, everyone's favorite free HF tarp.  Except it doesn't look like it's from HF.

Some things that came out in the middle layers without being in the pics - The harbor freight free screwdrivers, a handy ratcheting wrench, three horseshoes (we have a horse.  it's shoeless.  But it means I am very aware of how much E36 M3 those shoes have stepped in).  Earplugs.  Pressure gauge.  Oil filter wrench.  Little bit of gold heat reflective tape.  Flashlight.  Random wire.  Stickers.

Two hot wheels.  One is very fancy.

And a full season DVD set of OVERHAULIN' that I took no picture of for some reason.

Thanks, Mr. Texas Dude.  I was laughing opening the box every time i uncovered another layer of license plates.  They will join my garage wall of PA  plates.  I keep threatening to start collecting plates but haven't bothered to do so.  So this was an awesome shove in that direction.
