Mine's out for pickup today. Made a last-minute decision to eliminate the hot sauce and beverage selections due to the weather forecast--too much risk of them freezing. Oh well, maybe next year.

The box arrived a short time ago. I'm guessing the only thing betterworse than getting a Recon box would be a box from a submariner.
(edit: crayon joke)
AngryCorvair (Forum Supporter) said:Destination intentionally obscured. Expected arrival Thursday 1/13.
You did include the tracking number, though?
Ah, crap. One of the best things I had to put in the box doesn't fit in a large flat rate. I might cut it down a bit or just take the nifty retro emblem off of it.
My box was supposed to be delivered today but shows as still in transit. I got home today and the mail lady was pulling up and said she had a package for me. She also mentioned that she was glad it was lighter than the one I sent out.
A box from Lexington with only slight damage, maybe some Miata parts inside?
Mandatory cat inspection first.
A selection of t-shirts in various sizes and a kit of leaderserts that I sent out a few years back and have returned to me.
Rx7 Injectors that will likely come in handy and a pair of alignment cam bolt locks maybe? Maybe not?
Magnetic hammer holder, coasters and a selection of video games.
Hotwheels of course, some serial cable to something adapter?, insulated gloves, a length of rope, e46 rear sway bar links and an A/C refrigerant charge hose.
SS brake line, audio cord and large elastic band, 3/8 ratchet, nova badge, some studs of some sort, ford trailer brake controller harness, poor mans motorcycle cruise control and the Miata parts.
Idler pulley, stickers of course, bungee cord and quick link, flexible strip of lego? and some brochures and a couple zines from DSW.
And finally some license plates and surrounds for them, a business card for stump grinding (I have some that I need ground) and more stickers!
Thanks KyAllroad, great box and a lot of fun stuff!
Edit because I forgot a photo of one of the coolest items.
Glad you like it. The Injectors are the big 460cc models and the alignment cam locks are PacoMotorsports originals. I found on my CSP Miata that only one or two spots slipped but also that they are a little pesky to install. That's funny that the nutsert case has come full circle back to you, I wonder how often that happens in this game?
Right. The first thing that happened when I opened my box is that one of the cats came and attacked the length of rope that's pictured, and then wanted to attack the box. My arms aren't still 100%, so, I had to surrender the rope and quickly unpack everything.
Perpetrator cat and the entire haul. Nobody is getting that rope anytime soon, she's laying on one end with her claws in it.
We've got:
A very tiny piston
A 2007 MX5 Owner's manual
An L.A. Roser hat (Refrigeration company)
2 Ford Ranger? Center caps
a JOY tin within which was:
Two L.A. Roser stickers
One H.K. Porter Inc. pin (Railroad stuff)
A Bosch water pump (Fits Tiburon, Tuscon and Elantra). I'll probably wind up using this on a buddy's Elantra.
The rope
An old film camera
A caliper
A neck light
Louis L'Amour's "With These Hands". I never read it, I shall now.
A wee C-Clamp
4 Spark plugs which fit an early 90s Caravan, Shadow or Intrepid
The business end of a TIG welder
A pipe wrench
A very big tap
NOT PICTURED: A big chunk of Pyrite that my wife took and ran off with so she could add it to her gigantic rock and mineral collection. From what little I saw of it, it was pretty cool.
Thanks, Recon! At least one item from these photos will be immediately re-gifted when I send out my box.
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Agent of Chaos) :
The piston is from a Homelite Super EZ automatic chainsaw that finally met its Waterloo after over 30 years. Broke a ring, scored the cylinder and killed the saw. With these hands is one of my favorite collections of L'Amour short stories. LA Roser does all of our refrigeration stuff, and we get a lot of loot from them. The rope is for you, if the cat will give it up. Now that the casts are gone, you can tie knots to help regain dexterity and strength in your hands. I'm really glad your wife liked the Iron Pyrite; it's the largest chunk I've ever found. The pipe wrench is older than I am, but it cleaned up nice. Also, a 1" x 8 tap, because why not. The camera is completely functional, and film is still found at Walmart... the car parts are re-gifts, and I have two sets of vernier calipers, so I sent you one. They come in really handy...
Thanks for the background!
berkeleying sweet, I didn't even think of using the rope for therapy, that's a great idea!
My wife is *THRILLED* that the iron pyrite was found and not bought. Where did you get it, she'll label where it came from.
We both enjoyed the box quite a bit.
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Agent of Chaos) :
The iron pyrite came from central Idaho, near the Yankee Fork of the Salmon River.
My package is mostly packed up, I have one last thing I want to put in and then it should be ready to go out on its journey Saturday.
Great... according to USPS the package I mailed on the 1st is just listed as 'In Transit, Arriving Late' with the last update (that one) made last Saturday. There aren't any entries with a location since the box left the local regional hub (here in town) on the 4th. I will NOT be happy if they have managed to lose yet ANOTHER of my New Year's Game boxes...

I was told at the PO that my package would arrive TWO WEEKS AGO today. My tracking number won't track my package. I feel your pain!
Anyone in NC have a box they are waiting to open??
Mine shows as delivered on Saturday, but radio silence from the recipient thus far... no package has made it to my door yet, though I assume customs is having their way with it first.

Yeah, just hoping the recipient isn't aggressive enough to check it.
Oooops. It is in Indy. Is it me, or just passing thru?!!? Am I aggressive?
My out-going tracking shows three scans today, in three different Kissimmee zip codes... wtf usps
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Agent of Chaos) :
Will it fit in one of the new "board game" large flat rate boxes?

I guess we'll know on Thursday.
