Received my package from the depths of Florida today.

 looks promising

a bliepoint air hammer, sweet. Wheel locks, what I think are wheel lock tools.

oil fillet change kit for...I haven't researched yet. A torque stick, not sure what the orange handled tool is.

fancy snap on ball head keys, shift bushings for a sonic, what appears to be a flute or mill cutter of some sort, a torx plus socket, and what looks like maybe caliper hardware.

Thanks RonnieFND, and thanks Hungary Bill for continuing to let us pass our shops around the world.

Orange pliers are constant tension clamp pliers, the oil filter wrench is Jag/Land Rover ingenium 4/6cyl.  The green/yellow/red things are Saturn factory J tools that were never used.  No idea what they are but my dealership was a Saturn store back in the day and there is a shed full of tools they are throwing out so I raided it for something Shiney lol.  Hope you got a chuckle out of it.

There's a good portion of us that will backtrace them anyhow, and in at least a couple cases, we know the people. One time, I even dropped my package off at my person's house because it was only an hour away b

Horrifying, really. Though some guys you get and you're like "oh, ok that makes total sense" with little to no investigation. I think I've only had one that took me more than like 5 minutes to crack. And then there's cases like me where I suspect more grmers know my real name than not- i realized I've had more of those in my residence than swmbo has of her friends since we moved last year. And I don't let people in.

Well, it took 5 tries and pretty close to a full spool of filament wasted to get the largest part of what I printed out finished and stripping the new printer down to the barest I could (near as I can figure the stock power supply was crap and wasn't putting out consistent enough power for the Pi-clone that runs the new board), but I was finally able to get things finished and off in the mail Friday so it should arrive tomorrow. Appropriately enough given how little time I've spent in the garage in the last year its contents are not as biased toward random garage crap as they have been in the past and I think this was by far the lightest box I've sent despite it still being full, but hopefully its recipient still enjoys it!

Hopefully I'll have time today to open and photograph the one I received!

So, my box is packed and should go out tomorrow. The only worry I have is that the baked goods, which were crafted in the middle of the week, might not arrive at peak freshness.

My box has a super mystery surprise in it, too.

Just opened up a box that may have come from 11GTCS?

Making sure the post office knows.

Looks like he found a picture of my car to include on the box.

He must have thought I also had an NC.

Contents of this box are not covered by insurance.

A license plate and a Spaceships! Spaceships! folder.

Either everybody on GRM owns a miata or somebody figured out that I do.

Hat ,lugnuts, stickers, snap light.

a supercut saw blade.

One handed nail starter.

A Whole bunch of stickers.

Screen door spring?  bunch of other goodies.

magnifier with light.

Punch and chisel set.

This is big and heavy and I have no clue what it is other than a gauge of some sort.

book that was either stolen or bought from the library.

a seatback organizer.

It is live? Or is it memorex?

Looks like a memorex DVD drive and a phone charger and a 1/4" TS cable.

I've been caught! Wife asked if I'd sealed the box yet as she had a few things she wanted to send along. So she starts going through the box and I got in trouble for trying to get rid of a few things. So, it's going to be slightly less cool than I had hoped. But maybe the feminine touch means it's a better box? Idk. Post office tomorrow.

My box hasn't moved in 11 days.sad It has no return address on it, and the contents are just sketchy enough that I don't really want to pursue its recovery through the postal service. But I'm really bummed out. I was pretty proud of this one, and some of the stuff has actual value to it.

I'm going to give it another few days, but in the mean time, I'm going to start putting together a backup to send out just in case.

Everybody deserves a nice box.

Glad you enjoyed it! I figured the White Pony and F&F movies needed to carry on, kinda funny you had them before. I had no idea. Normally when I open my box I pick out a couple items to pass along the next year.

P.S.

If you're in the Outer Banks, do check out Spanky's. Everything is so good there. Arguably the best burger I've ever had.

LOL, busted!  There should be more stickers stuffed into the Lego folder if you haven't found them already.  One of them came to me from our benefactor (St. William of Hungary), I wanted to spread the love around so please take a look.

The punches and gear puller were some of my late neighbor Charlies stuff, he wanted me to have his tools and I like to spread some of the duplicates around when I can to send him on another "road trip".  He was a huge motorcycle and car guy, made it to almost 96 and would have turned 100 back in December.

The book came from a school library purge where my daughter used to work so I'm not in any danger of book theft prosecution!  The gauge is off an old steam boiler we replaced on a job a few years ago, thought it was "steampunky" and might be cool to send along.  There's a very subtle reference in the sketch of the sub on the side of the box.  Search "SS 246" and you might get it.   I thought I was being clever anyway...lol.  Glad you figured out the car was a Miata, I'm not much of an artist but I had fun sketching on the box.

I Googled my person, found the Facebook account and a few public photos at first.  SWMBO gave it a shot and found his wife's Facebook profile.  Then I went back to the Google results and about 10-12 hits down was his build thread here so that opened everything up.

Box was delivered and received.

Didn't put my address as I don't trust the hoodlums in my neighborhood and there were crossed wires about a box with my name at that address.

Will open as soon as I get my box off

Awesome, Thanks. I was considering loading up another box or two to send USPS as back-up.

According to the USPS "Informed Delivery" email I received a priority mail package Friday, except I didn't. The missus didn't bring anything in so when I went home for lunch today I poked around a bit and found a box in a place they have NEVER left anything before. It has been in the rain for a few days but still holding together!

Got some heft to it

This drawing instantly made me think of "One Crazy Summer"

I hope that is what was intended.

I hope there is a sticker inside...

Oh boy, is there ever!

How many? All of them it seems.

This is the bestest one though

Cool old Ampmeter,  Some JIC fittings, bowls or center caps? The oil filter was stolen immediately as was for one of my techs ecoboost Ranger. Flex fuel sensor? some socket adapters, wheel weights, fresh magnet on a stick (I JUST got a new one last week too)

Someone knows I am selling all my cars and put in a sign laugh Bumps stops, the heaviest weld nuts I have seen, Andre the giants Q-tips, Some new sway bar end links ( OK this is almost creepy as I have a drawer of old ones that I keep for inspiration and one in particular was cut and welded to almost exactly this length to fit one of my projects)

And the coolest thing!!!!!!

A FREAKING radar gun!! I plugged it in and it lit up and then told me my hand was moving 20 radar units when I waved at it.

Big thanks to the sender.  It also made me feel like I didn't pack my box full enough

AH! So that's where that went.

That radar gun ORIGINALLY came from the Texas State Patrol- I bought it when a batch of them went up for sale on here- and I *apparently* sent it out in a box. I definitely recogniize a bunch of the stickers (especially the brain slugs and the PRSL sticker). I however, did  not send you that box.
