I have been having the problem for a couple of weeks.  It started on my cell phone but it is now an issue on all my other computers that I look at the GRM site from.  Don't know if you have changed anything recently?  Windows update (does not explain the IPhone)  It is borderline annoying.  Not completely horrible but definitely much more lag than I think it should be.  I almost think it is an optimization problem or, if I was looking for the issue on my end, I would be looking at a DNS type problem but since I get the same problem from multiple web service providers (comcast at the office and Verizon at home) I am confident that is not the problem.  It should be noted that once the site or page is cashed it is better but the lag is still there compared to other sites like my Company web site or Google or Yahoo as examples I am comparing to.  I just opened a new window and was logged into GRM (keeping this page open). I did a page to page move / click on the GRM site and it was a full 9 seconds.  I then repeated it from forum to forum page and it was the same.

I guess the other question is am I the only one having this issue?  Others can let chime in and let me know on this.

I had this issue until I read this post. I'm not joking.

But yes, I used to have the issue where loading posts and the website itself was very slow.

My understanding is that the developers think there are some backup processes that are intermittently causing issues. It's on their to-do list. Sorry for the that, I know it can be frustrating.

You're definitely not the only person with this issue, I posted about it a couple of weeks ago as well: https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/off-topic-discussion/anybody-else-having-issues-with-the-forum-being-intermittently-slow/182972/page1/

I did a couple of quick checks using developer tools and it does look like the delay at least for me is in the wait for the actual response from the site, ie after DNS resolution and after the browser sends the request to the forum.

No apology necessary. I am glad that at least it is a known issue that is being looked at.
