Those carbon rotors are still a good $3-5k each, calipers a good $2,500 each, wheels about $1000 each, front bumper a good $2,000 in it's current shape...
One of my customers said;
Corvettes are $1000 cars - everything you buy costs $1000. Interior $1000. Brakes $1000. Axle $1000.
MGB's are $300 cars. Interior $300, Brakes, $300, convertible top $300.
Ferrari's must be $5000 cars. New calipers $5000, rotors, $5000, wheels, $5000.
I think you get the picture?

Last week.
Dude I work said he's only had it a couple of weeks. His dad drives a R class mb.
Hate to see a decent sounding kid fall victim to his fathers bad judgement. I'm not sure if I was responsible enough for that car at 30, much less 18.
We were talking about it at the shop all day, how our kids would be driving something a little less dangerous for a late teens "kid". When I pulled up to work this morning, I started asking people how old Rashkish(still don't know if that is the correct spelling) is because some kid crashed his Ferrari down the road last night. I have only been working at this shop for two weeks(thanks to Duke of Understeer actually) and a couple of guys had been joking about how spoiled he is before I had even seen him.
Like I said before, kid seemed pretty nice, even timid talking to me. He said he was running late on his way to school last week when I set his pressures. All fire, Ferrari, "dumb kid" jokes aside, I hope he is okay. Last I heard he and his friend are at the Grady Hospital burn unit, one of the best in the country.
Edit: His name is Akshay. Guys in the shop were making fun of his name before last night because it is Indian. http://www.digtriad.com/news/article/250534/57/Two-Men-Burned-In-Fiery-Ferrari-Crash
This Has a little more info, pictures, and said Aston although the report calls it a Bentley.
Atlanta craigslist Ferrari for sale, no title ...............
All kidding aside, I hope they pull through.

Yeah, sorry--that is just galactically stupid.
I just can't stand the mega-spoilage of kids. This is the result.

And now it's worse. The kid didn't make it.
