The Easter bunny hid about a billion eggs all over the house and yard last night. Youngest is 11 but they all still love the hunt. Ham goes in the oven in a bit. Sitting outside eating lunch because east Texas is having an actual nice day and we don't get many of those.
I hope you all have a chill day.
Put a pork butt on the smoker at 4am. We decided on not having ham this year. Went for a beach walk with Mrs TJ.
Finishing up the water pump full of food was a lot tougher than I had anticipated. Got it done though. Nice and quiet the way it should be.
Attended the 8:30 service at church, then went canoeing on the Chickahominy River with the wife, then stuffed ourselves with a nice dinner at home. 'Twas a beautiful day!
Gathered at the matriarchs place for food drink and egg hunting. The three teenagers are mine. The two school aged kids are my sisters. And the twin babies are my brothers. (The guy on the right)
We had fun, I won a spirited game of croquet. Fun was had all around.
*****side thought, if the zombie apocalypse ever actually happens it has to start on Easter right?
I autocrossed my Miata with the local Porsche club. Not a lot of people there because of Easter.
Other than when hot lapping or racing with a co-driver, that's the first time that I never took my helmet off between runs. We were coming back out for our next runs so quickly that I had a choice of taking off my helmet, or adjusting my tire pressures. I chose the latter.
