I like that one, but check the tank to make sure the rust you can see is very superficial. A rusted out tank is dangerous. You would want to clean that up and spot prime it right away to keep it from spreading. The price is decent especially considering the brand is a good one but it's not a steal.
The other one I would pass on; hvac compressors are made for long life at low psi's and have small tanks. They're reliable as all hell but not made for pushing 90psi air tools. Plus, twin engine? That's just bizarre.
Rust usually comes from the inside on a tank, not the outside. Spot priming won't help.
Got it. Thanks for helping me understand electricity to a better degree. This will work into my current knowledge that it will kill me, ha ha. Funny given I work in an industry that supplies linemen.
Avoid rusty tank, check.
A friend has recommended a ingersoll rand ss3l3. He has had one forever with good luck. 670 shipped. Not bad.
I bought an HF compressor two years ago, and ended up never using it. Hopefully it will work when I do. I don't think they sell the model I bought anymore, its big.
Real men have screw compressors. I could fart next to the one in the shop while its going full bore and have one of the service techs go, "What the berkeley, dude"
I would also check with your local compressor dealer. I sell hoses to this type dealer and some are struggling as companies close manufacturing plants and reopen in China.
Gardner-Denver, Quincy, Sullair......they might have some deals.

I have a noisy HF compressor. The first one I had lasted almost a year and then had a bad check valve or something and could only create 15 psig or so. I took it back and got another one at HF. I do not use it very often - usually only if I need to use my impact wrench, so it's ok for what I need. If I was going to use more than a few times a year I would get a real compressor.
