We're really spoiled to consider our free speech (which is often ugly) to come anywhere near rivaling the evils of Nazism, racial genocide, gender genocide, slavery, etc. etc. etc. Those things were hate. What we are now experiencing doesn't come close.
Verbs of hate? Actions of hate?
So, your suggestion is that I am inciting hate? Nice.
Have you lived in a place where slavery still exists? I have.
Ever had your life threatened for your race, faith, or ethnicity? I have.
Ever been shot at because of your skin color? Beaten? I have.
Ever been in a racially mixed marriage? I have.
Ever been run out of a community with machetes for your faith? I have.
Ever spent an afternoon with a sharecropper? I have.
Ever watched people dragged off a bus, beaten and sold into slavery? I have.
I've lived in those places. This isn't close. I KNOW that I am privileged to live where I do, even with it's shortcomings. I'll do what I can to work tirelessly against injustice, but I won't insult the character of the men, women, and children who live with truly horrible hatred, pain, and fear by whining about how awful my life is. I know better.
But if you'd prefer to believe that your life is somehow threatened by simple statements of the obvious on the internet, it is unlikely that I'll be able to sway your opinion otherwise.
