Can we get the developer to do a Finnish location GRM Challenge into the game? The premise of the game is that you're a Finnish teenager in the 90s attempting to put together a pos rally car, and you drive beer, urinate everywhere, go to saunas and die when crashing your van (game has permadeath) then restart everything
warning the game is a complete and total time suck that will ruin you career and relationships, I wish I had known about it over the previous 2 years

I have no clue what this is you're talking about, but I'm both intrigued and somewhat scared?

Management is not responsible for lost jobs or relationships
From the site:
MY SUMMER CAR is the ultimate car owning, building, fixing, tuning, maintenance AND permadeath life survival simulator. You start the game with hundreds of loose parts and assemble both car and engine. Not only you need to maintain your car, but yourself as well. Sausages, beer and sleeping will do just fine.
If everything goes well, you have a working car which you can use for various 1990's Finnish countryside summer activities. Basically doing stupid things under influence of alcohol. After you have gathered extra money from various random jobs, you can start to tune and upgrade the car with parts ordered via snail mail. You can turn the car into a obnoxious bass-boom disco machine.... or into a rally car to participate rally competitions... or just fix it into perfect factory condition. Of course car also needs to pass the inspection or you might get into trouble with police.
Not only you have access to one car, but also several other cars and vehicles which you can use. (Mostly useful to get groceries and for towing the project car from some ditch, again).
Warning, this game is not for fainted heart. Severe car fever is required to play this properly due to it's autistic approach on car building.
Full car assembly with over hundred parts
Detailed driving and engine simulation
Various other vehicles, cars and boat to use and drive
Dozens of kilometers worth of dirt and paved roads with AI traffic
Random paying jobs to cover food, beverage and fuel expenses
Rally event to participate in
Permanent death
Sauna bathing
90's Finnish summer!
Support for steering wheel and shifter controllers
Much more!

The trailers for this are just genius. "Early access to shiny paint job does not make the car run."

Wow, yeah I could see not leaving home for a considerable period once I started that.
I checked the link and looked at it. I like the most recent update:
UPDATE 05.02.2017
-Fan belt can be now purchased also when it is lost
-Store items are now re-stocked only at game load
-Decreased power of truck engine
-Made truck parking brake fail when strong force is applied
-Player can now sleep in the truck and on the junk sofa found in landfill
-Sleep is now activated with Use button (default F)
This sounds like something I should be playing
Is there a purpose to this? Is this just a the GRM Car version of Goat Simulator?

Yes to both.
I have it. Woodpile bottle of liquor and trying to drive the E36 M3 pumper truck for money resulted in me catching air, crashing, and dying.
It's a great game.
Can confirm it completely consumes you for several hours on end.
The Permadeath is an interesting twist. You will absolutely die several times at first, so maybe don't get too far into building the car until you figure out how things work.
I had the motor almost completely assembled before I realized I had NO food at the house, and crashed and died trying to rush to the store. I have also died while away from home, when I realized the store and the bar was closed and I had no food or drink. I tried to inspect a well at a house to see if I could drink from it and I fell in and died. So yeah, I think I need to maybe take some food and drink with me when I leave the house just in case.
Delivering firewood is easy money. Chop it at home, you are never too far away from food or drink. Deliver it during the day and you get like $3k for a trailer full of split wood. Septic jobs are not as lucrative I think.
Well, I went and bought it last night. So far I have about 1.5 hours into the game. All I have accomplished is I got drunk, peed in the sauna while trying to figure it out, ate all my food and rolled the van in the most spectatular fashion resulting in my death trying to get to the store.
I'm hooked
I died many times trying to go on a grocery run before I started building the car. One time I did get all 4 wheels on the ground before I died though.
This game is amazing. I watched a few of my friends stream it on twitch, good times. The best stream was a guy who is a chemical engineer, he was drinking beer while playing the game. He went on a long drunk rant about the unfeasability of certain alternative fuels and their problems compared to gasoline. Weirdest drunk rant ever, but very informative through the slurring.
Using a wheel (or probably even controller) makes it soooo much easier to drive. Keyboard is impossible.
However all the vehicles are still super sketchy to drive.

Sounds like an average Tuesday for some Finns I know. Except for the dying part.
