Just call it the "earnhardt track"

(or, the "three")

Anyone else have any more suggestions? LOL Waiting for the father-in-law to come back so I can sit down with him over some beers and get the go ahead.

Build a proper pit lane close to the house so tools are close at hand.. Also make sure there is a way to get disabled vehicles back home easily.

How about a version of Rattlesnake Raceway (Chaparral's test track) with truncated straights?

Maybe I'm very immature, but I'd make a 'twig and berries' shaped track. Mostly because of when Google Maps updates your land... It'll be funny.

This.

Then you can call it 'the dragon's other tail'.

It would probably be more fun to torch the cars where they died and have to race around them.

You guys are thinking too small or even

But seriously a good track is composed of elevation change, straights of various lengths, chicanes, sweeping bends, increasing radius / decreasing radius turns, chicanes, hairpins, and occasionally what looks possible in your case, a water feature.

The start line could be connected on both ends to the track.

I must be very immature as well, because that right there is funny.

Perfect place to host an event called the third leg.

Semi-local track, Gingerman raceway. The real thing is fairly flat and relatively simple in design:

Seems to be a theme in course design. CMP West Course.

A little inspiration

Cliffs notes: Elevation changes are fun. Whoops and yumps are even more fun, but they're hard on your neck. Going through trees/woods maybe not the best idea without a lot of runoff area...cooked brakes make for some "oh E36 M3 oh E36 M3 oh E36 M3" moments when the trees are getting closer in a hurry.

THIS is exactly what I want.

I still need to talk to the father in law about it. My wife was trying to veto it before I even explained I wouldn't be doing it in cars, but the things pictured above. Then she was OK with it. LOL
