Yes, that's my fingertip.
By the way, last night I dreamed that I lost these very shoes.
Yes. When my shoes wear down to around that flat, or a little flatter, I put them in service as lifting shoes.
Those are relegated to slipper duty. Since they're slip ons, it actually works.
Hole in the bottom bothers me though. Gets my feet wet.

Yup, me too. That was my first thought when I saw them. I spent a lot of my life in low top vans, now I only wear them when I ride.
Autocross! Just have another pair for course walking/working.
edit: Forgot to add, one of my nurses has a pair just like them, and I'm sure she's younger than your pair of shoes.
Don't ask me. I don't toss underwear away until there only one Fruit of the Loom guy hanging onto the tag.
You're good. I've got a set of boat shoes that look like that, most comfortable things I've ever worn.
I see shoes like that and hope you have your podiatrist on speed dial. God only gave you one pair of feet. Indulge a passion for a new pair of shoes and as many types of foot wear you can think of, your feet will thank you!
Take some chunks of tire out of a Hoosier with a cutoff wheel, shape to match the sole of the shoe, and epoxy in place. Good for 2 seconds and a couple years!
My slip ons only last 3-4 years before the tops fall apart, I never wear through the bottoms. But I don't skate/ride as intended, I'm a poser.
Q: shoes still good...?
A: good at what?
We have a door in the house that tends to self close. We sometimes put a shoe in front of it to keep it open. Yeah, good for that.
These shoes settle one argument...
That people shouldn't complain about advertisements on the forum, and that apparently more of them are needed.
No. I've tried them on before, they weren't good when they were new. They would have crippled me.
Having been through the year+ of excruciating pain that is Plantar Fasciitis, I won't be caught dead in a pair of shoes that offer no foot support. BTDT with a old pair of well loved boat shoes that looked much like yours.
