You're not paying attention, look at the Renault 4 in the second pic posted, lean-oh-grande there too.

I love Citroen cornering!
Those Renault 4 are not as lean-y as the Citroen...but not far:

You Crap-canned a SM? Wow, not sure if sadened or delighted. Great cars, love to see them but sad that it may have ended its days like that. Any more details?
I bought it for $900 with no title, not running since the early 90s. It was basically a parts car. We resurrected it and got it running, replaced suspension spheres, rebuilt the triple Weber’s a few time, had the tank cleaned and replaced the rest of the fuel system, upgraded the ignition system to a pertronix and Buick dist cap, tires, custom exhaust, caged etc. it took two races to get it right but in the third race it ran like a champ from flag to flag and we got the IOE. It currently sits in my storage garage waiting for us to complete the process of creating a title from scratch (more than a year in progress now). Once we get the title it is going on Bring a Trailer. It currently runs and drives decently, and has to be one of the only caged SMs in existence, so hopefully whoever buys it does something fun with it. Really though, the buyer will probably part it out as the complete running 3.0 Maserati motor is worth more than what someone will probably pay for the car, but we are trying to sell it whole and with title to increase the odds that it stays in one piece.

Dont worry. Your chassis shares nothing with this.

It would be entertaining to rework the suspension for massive camber gain so that it could work well with huge amounts of body roll. The original McLaren F1 was actually designed along those lines, it had a lot of body roll for a supercar:

Yeah...what he said. I didn't do a ton of work on the car, I'm not a great mechanic...Sonic and the rest of our team did that. But I spent quite a bit of time behind the wheel. As he said, it took several races to sort out. Carb tuning, ignition, brakes IIRC, etc... Then we were drawing so much crud from the tank, it was silly. We finally got it well sorted, I think it was at NJMP. As Sonic said, it ran like a champ all weekend. I drove it a ton that race. It had balls, it would hustle if you hit the gas hard... but I didn't want to push the car too hard, our goal was IOE, and we won. Despite the body lean, it handled quite well for a 45 year old Citroen that had been sitting for decades. It did develop an exhaust leak. I distinctly remember putting my hand out the window down the front straight every time to try to draw fresh air into the cabin. I think I'm still a few brain cells short of where I had been prior to the race...but nobody seems to notice.

Suspensions work best when you let them move. It's not cool, but it works.
