Highlander (There can be only one.)

The other night I watched Highlander on Prime–it had been some years, while the film captures the New York I remember.

Anyway, this version contained the deleted scene from World War II. I had never seen that footage placed in the actual movie. (I saw that other deleted scenes have been lost.)

More movies should open with professional wrestling, right? 

I used to make that joke at work. Whenever someone buys a car they bring them back to parts to get a little bag of goodies and let us try to upsell some accessories. So I ask "what did you get?" Highlander. "You know there can be only one, right?"

Blank stares. Every time. I still think it was a good joke. They keep me in the back these days so I don't get to deal with the public directly anymore.

And I still remember the first time I saw it–freshman year of college in our school theater.

I’d still swear that they had the volume louder than usual, at least for the opening scene. Queen at full song was delightful. 

They also have the series, if you want to continue your trip down memory lane.

Why do a remake? Just watch the original. 

I never watched the series or later movies. I was content with the original.

Agreed.  I'd watch it.

There really should have been only one movie...

I don't think a remake would be the same without a Queen soundtrack.

So if they do an EV Highlander, should they call it the Quickening?
